Google Accidentally Sends Out a Virus

Email subscribes to the Google Video blog were accidentally sent the notorious "Kama Sutra" worm along with a Google mailing this week. Approximately 50,000 people subscribe to the Google Video blog email group.

Google is advising recipients to use antivirus software to remove the worm from their computers. Apparently an internal moderator of the mailing list inadvertently allowed outside messages (including the one containing the virus) to be sent to the Google Video mailing list.

Google said: "We are taking steps to make sure this doesn't happen again."

The Kama Sutra virus is largely harmless, but gained its name and fame in February when it was disguised as e-mail porn.
