DVD Review: Sarah Silverman Program Season 2 Vol 1
Sarah Silverman has her moments in her ultra-liberal, satire rich Sarah Silverman Program season 2. There are moments in each episode that are truly funny, but for the most part, the episodes go on far too long. Moments of comedic gold are undermined by shows that go on and on, and for being far too moronic for people to actually believe.
Juvenile humor is also a major focus, not sophomoric, purely juvenile. The cast around Sarah is usually the shows saving grace. The gay, pot smoking, nerdy neighbors should be featured more in the show for genuine laughs. People who are uptight and do not understand satire should avoid this show at all costs; it will probably induce a coronary. It is evident that Sarah Silverman has talent, but lacks the consistency for a truly great comedy series.
*The Sarah Silverman Program: Season Two, Vol. One will be released on October 14, 2008*
