Movie Review: Cyborg Soldier Starring Rich Franklin and Tiffani Amber Thiessen
First Look Pictures brings a new movie to DVD this week. Cyborg Soldier, which stars Bruce Greenwood and Tiffani Amber Thiessen, is an action film that resembles something like a lost Arnold Schwarzenegger movie from the 1990's may look like. Big on action with lots of explosions and just enough story and dialogue to get you through a full length feature.
"Saved by the Bell Fans" will be happy to see Tiffani Amber Thiessen, actually only going by Tiffani Thiessen nowadays but I am retro, grace the screen and give a good performance. Thiessen stars as Lindsey Reardon a policewoman in a small town. Thiessen shares the screen with Rich Franklin who portrays a Terminator/Running Man type character named Isaac (Intuitive Synthetic Autonomous Assault Commando) Franklin, who was a former UFC Middleweight Champion, plays the role rather well and has a good rapport with Thiessen. Issac is a government experiment gone wrong and has been charged with the murder of his family.
Admitally I had low expectations before viewing this movie and was pleasantly surprised. Fans of the Governator's films from the mid 80's to mid 90's will take a liking to it and could do a lot worse when choosing a movie to rent or own.
