City of Warren, Ohio Names a Street After Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl

Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl will soon have a street named after him in his hometown of Warren, Ohio. Thanks to a successful local petition, Market Alley will be renamed to Dave Grohl Alley.

The campaign was orchestrated by Warren police sargeant Joe O'Grady and radio DJ Fast Freddie. At first there were a few complaints that the name change could cost the city money, but it was still unanimously passed by Warren's city councl.

The city will now hold a dedication ceremony to mark the name changing, to which Dave Grohl will be invited. Grohl grew up in Warren and lived there until a young age, but still has family in the area. Details on where and when the dedication will take place are not yet available.
