Tampa Bay Rays Win American League Pennant

The Tampa Bay Rays have defeated the Boston Red Sox to win the American League pennant tonight. The Rays, who were pegged as an also ran in the AL East to start the season, will have home field advantage when they meet the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series which starts Wednesday.
