Barack Obama's Boston Aunt is Living Illegally in the United States
Just days ago Barack Obama's aunt, a Kenyan woman living in squalor in Boston public housing, has been discovered to be living illegally in the United States after an immigration judge rejected her request for asylum four years ago. Zeituni Onyango, whom Obama referred to as "Aunti Zeituni" is his memoir, was ordered to leave the US by an immigration judge, according a source that spoke with the Associated Press.
The individual spoke on conditions of anonymity as no one is authorized to discusss Onyango's case. Onayngo, 56, is Obama's father's half-sister. She has not been a part of the public dicussion of Obama's personal life on the campaign trail, and was only just recently revealed to the public as having been living in Boston.
Two seperate sources disclosed and confirmed the information about Onyango's deportation case, one of which was a law enforcement official. Her refusal to leave the country and to continue living here is an administrative, non-criminal violation of immigration law.
According documents filed with the Federal Election Commission by the Obama campaign, Onyango has contributed $260 to Obama in small increments over time. Under FEC rules, only US citizens or those holding green cards are legally permitted to donate to campaigns.
A spokesman for Boston's Mayor Thomas Menino said that he did not know how Onyango qualified for public housing assitance with a standing deportation order in place. The Boston Housing Authority said they "know nothing" and have "no comment."
Perhaps Barack Obama's commitment to use presidential power to discourage the enforcement of federal immigration laws and to offer blanket amnesty to 12 million illegal immigrants living in the US is so near and dear to him because his very own relatives are living in this country illegally.
