Britney Spears Says She Feels Like a Prisoner
In a candid new interview, singer Britney Spears has compared her new life to a jail sentance. He father, Jamie Spears, remains the permanent consevator of her estate and affairs, and Britney now says that her controlled existence feels like "Groundhog Day."
Following her well documented breakdown in recent years, Britney has finally begun to show some promising signs of a comeback, and has recently won praise for her duet with Madonna. But beneath the public facade, it's a different story.
In the new documentary, Britney: For the Record, she admits:
"There's no excitement, there's no passion. I have really good days, and then I have bad days. Even when you go to jail, y'know, there's the time when you're gonna get out. But in this situation, it's never ending. It's just like Groundhog Day every day."
Britney thinks that she is still being forced to pay for her meltdown:
"I think it’s too in control. If I wasn’t under the restraints I’m under, I’d feel so liberated. When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear but they’re really not listening. If you do something wrong in your work, you can move on, but I’m having to pay for a long time. I never wanted to become one of those prisoner people. I always wanted to feel free. I think I've learnt my lesson now and enough is enough."
The 90-minute special was executive produced by Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, and features behind the scenes footage of the singer, and her talking about her life over the past two years. From the ending of her 3-year marriage to Kevin Federline in 2006, the ensuing custody battle, and Britney's increasingly strange behavior that began last year in February, she certainly has a lot to talk about.
Despite the troubles she has faced, some good has come from it. She healed a long-standing rift with her mother Lynne Spears, and reinstated her former manager Larry Rudolph. Her sixth album, Circus, will be released on December 2, her 27th birthday. The documentary will air on MTV ahead of the album release.

we love her!
Britney spears is a normal human being who works day in and day out, like every human being. some of us have very high profile jobs and some do not, nonetheless we all make a living some way or anoher... celebs are always being critizied and i sure we all would have things to be critized about if every last thing was constantly exploited to the world! people go through ups and downs and it is called getting help, whihc is exactly what britney spears did. we can all recieve help, when we struggle with math homeworkd, we get help, when we feel sick or a flue we get help from the doctor and why should help needed when one feels sad and lost be any different? people shopuld seriously take a good hard look in the mirror if they can actually admit to never feeling opressed or sad or unhappy with a certain relationship and just lost in general, becuase i know every human being living has felt atleast one of those feelings at one pont or another! we owe so much to the celebs of the world, becuase without peolp elike britney we wouldnt have great dance music and tv to entertain ourselves and trends to follow... yes they dont run the lives of us, but they sure are fun! britney spears is on the road to becoming well again and should we not support her? Everyone loves britney and even if yu dont, make atleast try to make the best out of her situaiton for the better of the future...
