Verizon Blitz a Perfect Messaging Device for Wanting Teen

Has your teenager started to complain that their old phone just isn't sufficient enough and started to hint for one for the holiday season. Verizon may have the perfect fit for your son or daughter in their new device called the Blitz that recently arrived in stores. The Verizon Blitz is a capable messaging phone that has Blackberry-esque features at a price that won't break the bank.
The new smartphone is shaped like a new generation iPod Nano and folds out to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. The typing on the keyboard, perfect for people people who like to text day and night, is a breeze and is the true strength of the phone. The device also has a capable music player which allows users to subscribe to services like Vcast and Rhapsody subscription services. To complete the gadget's package is a nice size full color screen and easy to navigate interface which is very user friendly.
In my time with the phone I didn't need to consult the user guide, which is very thick and easy to navigate when I did pop it open for
review purposes, as everything was intuitive on the device. Some of the features, some with extra cost per month, web browsing, GPS,
email, and a media center which features downloadable games and ringtones. The phone function is loud and clear and can be adjusted easilly for whatever your ideal volume you desire.
It may not be branded as a Blackberry but the Verizon Blitz is pretty darn close and you won't have to shell out a ton of cash in order to get your son or daughter into one and make them a happy camper come Christmas time. The Blitz is priced at $69.99 with a 2 year contract through Verizon.

hi my name is kirstin and i was wondering how much this phone is
Depends on where and how you get it. I just got one, but as a prepaid service phone for about $100 and just took it over to verizon to get it activated on my plan. (i recently lost another phone) With a 2 yr plan it can be obviously cheaper.
the phone is $100.00 at walmart
i went to the store today an it is 39.99 with the 2yr plan
Right now, this phone sells online, with a 2 year tract for 19.99 ( plus tax .. if you live in California it will run about 35.00 to 37.00 total because the tax is based on full phone price )
It is available through pre-paid for a substantially higher price. I am not sure what that amount is, I ordered it with a 2 year Tract.
I started with the Palm Centro, though you need data to send picture messages... Then I got the Samsung Glyde, which is not able to save pictures that are sent to you, or save the message which it is contained in... Now I ordered the Blitz, which does not need data to send picture messages and you can save the pictures with are sent to you in text.
I know someone with this phone, it does have a few down falls... Unless you 4 digit code security lock it, it could easily unlock the screen ( hitting "ok, ok" ) and possibly turn on internet, send messages or even dial out... Best bet is to 4 digit code lock the phone then you can avoid those crazy data charges, unless of course you have the unlimited data plan...
how do you lock out the data feature
How much does it cost????? I WNT IT SOOOOOOOOO BAD!!!!!
I have had this phone since the day it hit stores and it has been amazing for my teen needs. I am upgrading to a droid x but for txting, this thing is perfect. I think I paid 100 for it brand new and bought a cover, I am thinking of reselling it if someone is interested. It's still in great condition and i have a charger and a beat up case for it. (which protected it quite well) The only thing I didn't like about it was that the buttons kept getting pressed in my pocket, but the cover i bought solves that.
It's a great phone, especially for teens and people who text alot but it's features of online browser and music are pretty limited, as it did come out before the touch screen and smart phone concepts were perfected.
Email me if your interested and make the subject: "Verizon Blitz".
