Pop Open a Bottle of Champagne Cattier this New Year's Eve
It's a Sure-Fire Hit at Holiday Gatherings
Champagne Cattier, which has never before been available in the United States, landed in US stores just in time for the festive New Year's Eve celebrations this year. After decades of enjoyment in 65 countries around the world, Champagne Cattier made it's highly anticipated entry into the American wine market in mid-November.
Variants of Champagne Cattier are made in the prestigious territory of Montagne in Reims, France on 31 hectares of vineyards primarily classified as "Premier Cru", a highly regarded classification within the champagne category.
Champagne Cattier has earned distinction around the world as the official champagne of the Euro 2008 Championship, selection for in-flight service on British Airways and Air China, and through its high rankings by Robert Parker and Wine Spectator.
Champagne Cattier produces five varieties in beautiful bottles, suitable for any occasion:
- Red Kiss (90% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier/10% Chardonnay) - Housed in an eye-catching red bottle and ornate gold-thread cage, this fresh, full-bodied salmon hued champagne has aromas of cherry, strawberry and blackberry. Red Kiss is perfectly paired with poultry, white meat and blue cheese.
- Blue Saphir (80% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier/20% Chardonnay) - An intricate silver-thread cage holds a gleaming blue bottle which stores this gold/amber champagne. Blue Saphir emits the hints of flowers and white citrus fruits that provide a lasting fresh fig taste, and is best served as an aperitif with cocktails or hours d'oeuvres.
- Blanc de Noirs (70% Pinot Noir/30% Pinot Meunier) - The elegant black case gives way to an equally sleek, noir tinged bottle with silver accents. The bottle appropriately conveys the richness of this straw colored champagne, which provides hints of raspberry and violets. This distinct, yet complex, champagne presents a full-bodied taste and partners well with red meat, game and fish as well as foods that are spicy, savory or sweet.
- Brut Antique (45% Pinot Noir/30% Pinot Meunier/25% Chardonnay) - An antique, brownish bottle matches the color of the champagne which provides a light creamy taste with the aromatic hints of flowers and a touch of citrus. Brut Antique is aged for up to three years and serves as a tasty aperitif or
complements salty snacks.- Limited Edition Clos du Moulin (50% Pinot Noir/50% Chardonnay) - A discrete, dead leaf colored bottle holds this delicate, deep gold colored champagne. Entirely produced within Cattier's walled vineyard (Clos), this special champagne is comprised of three well-aged vintages. An even balance of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes provide an aroma of fresh butter and brioche bread that gives way to a mature, long finish. Clous du Moulin is perfectly paired with lobster, smoked salmon or other indulgences.
Start the year off in style, and impress even the most discerning of champagne connoisseurs by picking up a bottle (or two... or three...) of Champagne Cattier this New Year's Eve.
