Bristol Palin Sells First Photos of Baby Son for $300,000
When Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's 18-year-old, unmarried daughter gave birth to a baby boy Sunday, the celebrity weeklies began a bidding war for the rights to the baby's first photos. Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, son of Bristol Palin and her boyfriend Levi Johnston, managed to garner more attention and cash than the celebrity babies of Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, and Ricky Martin.
According to one source, bidding on the photos began at $100,000. People ended up the winner, but the only other mag to make a serious bid was In Touch. The price reportedly did not soar immediately, and bidding began well before the baby was born. However, the price began. Suddenly, they had a hot stories.
None of the magazines would confirm the exact figure Bristol and Levi made off with, but sources indicate that it was around the $300,000 range.

How do we even know if the baby has actually been born? Every news report about Tripp's birth so far is based on statements by Colleen Jones, Sally Heath, Sarah Palin or her press office. If Bristol was 5 months pregnant in August, or if Trigg was born before they say, the original rumors of Bristol being Trigg's mother still stand. If baby photos of Tripp are later released, how can they be dated? They haven't even told the hospital Tripp was allegedly born at.
