Honolulu Dumped as NFL Pro Bowl Host After 30 Years

Miami Will Host Both Super Bowl and NFL All Star Game Next Season

If you live in Hawaii and want to catch some NFL action you better make it this seasons Pro Bowl because it may be awhile before the league comes back. The National Football League is set to announce that Miami will host the leagues All-Star game a week before the Super Bowl next season in Miami. Aloha Stadium in Honolulu has hosted the annual game for 30 seasons and had been traditionally been played after the entire season was complete.

"While I am disappointed the Pro Bowl likely will not be played here in 2010, I respect the NFL's decision to play the (Pro Bowl) in the same city as the Super Bowl, one week before the Super Bowl, on a one-year test basis," said Hawaii governor Linda Lingle in a statement.

The loss of the Pro Bowl will hurt the state of Hawaii who estimates that creates $30 Million Dollars in tourism to the state. The NFL is making the move because they feel that the game will gain more exposure if it is scheduled while the season is still being played.
