Eric Mangini to Interview for Vacant Browns Head Coaching Job Within 24 Hours

Can Pioli and Mangini Patch Up Differences and Work Together in Cleveland?

League sources have said that fired New York Jets head coach Eric Mangini will be interviewed today or tomorrow for the Cleveland Browns vacancy at head coach. Mangini first job in the NFL came with the Browns in mid 1990's when he worked in the teams Public Relations department.

The Browns are looking at Scott Pioli to fill the General Managers job and its set up something of a dilemma. It was Mangini who blew the whistle on the New England Patriots in the Spygate controversy which resulted in the Pats losing a draft pick. Both Pioli and Mangini worked together under Bill Belichick but would have to work out their differences from the scandal that rocked the football world last season.

Considering that the Browns are interviewing Mangini may mean that Pioli has already given his ok, or that the Browns are exploring other options at GM even though it appears he is their number one choice at this time.
