Charles Barkley's DUI Arrest Gets Even More Entertaining
Charles Barkley was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving during the early Wednesday morning hours. When the news of his arrest was first revealed, we learned that he had been caught when he ran a stop sign. A couple days later, we now have the backstory on the whole ordeal - Charles Barkley wasn't just going out for a joyride at 1:30am, rather he was on a mission to quickly drive around the corner to pick up a girl that one week earlier given him a blowjob that he described as "the best one he ever had in his life."
According to the Smoking Gun, when pulled over by the cops the former NBA superstar said:
“You want the truth? I was gonna drive around the corner and get a blow job."
Cooperating with the cop, Barkley also joked "I'll tattoo your name on my ass" if it would get him out of the DUI charge.
While we'd love to see Barkley explain this one on live TV, he simply issued a statement which read:
"I am disappointed that I put myself in that situation. Now it is a legal matter and I will not comment further until it is resolved."

Jeezzz....all of these celebrity DUIs are not helping the public's perception that a DUI is no big deal. A DUI costs several thousand dollars up from in court costs, attorney fees, fines, etc., and then several more thousand on the back end for more expensive insurance, problem passing background checks, etc. If Charles Barkley loses his license, no problem. He can get a driver, which the average Joe can't. It's a shame that this sort of nonchalant attitude toward drunk driving gets all the publicity and the trouble normal people endure doesn't get any.
