Cardinals Hold Off Falcons to Advance in the Playoffs With 30-24 Victory

The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Atlanta Falcons to open the NFC Playoffs and will face. Kurt Warner, who is enjoying a renaissance season at 39 years of age, threw touchdown passes and excelled late with drive that sealed the game with a score. Fellow NFL veteran Edgerrin James ran for 73 yards and receiving duo of Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Bolden were vital combining for nearly 200 yards receiving and two scores. The Arizona defense, meanwhile, earned their keep by limiting all-pro running back Michael Turner to less than 50 yards and forced two interceptions on rookie Matt Ryan.
The Cardinals won for the first time at home at playoffs since they played in Chicago in 1946. Arizona will learn who they play next week when the games are completed tomorrow.
