Actor Sasha Baron is readying up to launch a new movie called Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through American For the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt. In the film Cohen reprises his role as Bruno, a gay fashion correspondent from Austria. One of the key characters in the film, a black model called Jesus who wears a loincloth and a crown of thorns, isn't likely to go over well with the Christian world.

Test audiences in the United States have already seen an early edit. The more religious members at the screenings failed to see the funny side of the film.

"Sacha has really gone for the shock tactics this time. The characters were created deliberately to wind certain sections of society up and Jesus is one of them.

This won't have been the first time that Cohen has gotten himself in some hot water, but he can expect the water to be a bit more scalding this time - Christianity in the US isn't something to poke fun at, especially when you're a Jewish foreigner that's already on thin ice. It's the kind of thing that might get your film banned in the conservative South.

The film does, however, have the potential to generate a level of controversy that will make it yet another box office smash hit for Cohen.
