Madoff Even Scammed His Own Sister
Bernard Madoff's own family was not spared from his greed and the Ponzi scheme that is said to have pilfered a massive $50 billion from unsuspecting investors. He is now said to have scammed millions from his sister, who is now desperately trying to sell her Florida home.
Sondra Wiener, 74, lives with her husband, Marvin, in the BallenIsles Country Club, a gated enclave in Palm Beach. A neighbor of hers says she "has nothing." The source went onto say "She lots millions in this whole thing.," and estimates her losses at about $3 million.
Wiener's son, David, responded to inquiries about the family's financial status, stating: "Yes, my family's a victim. More so than anybody else. It's very painful."
Wiener was also one of Madoff's five family members sent packages filled with expensive jewels, that Madoff and his wife Ruth allegedly mailed on Christmas Eve. Wiener received a package containing a total of $1 million in valuables, including Cartier and Tiffany watches. They were later retrieved by lawyers after it was discovered it could be considered a violation of his bail.
Wiener has since put her 3,409-square-food home on the market, and is asking between $850,000 and $950,000 for the three bedroom home. Country club membership is required in order to live in the community, and costs between $35,000 and $115,000 per year.
Recently authorities discovered checks totalling $173 million made out to family and friends before Madoff's December 11 arrest.
Prosecutors have been pushing to revoke Madoff's bail since the packages were mailed, and a judge will decide Monday if Madoff, who is currently on house arrest, should return to jail.

SISTER NOT CONNED
Your wrong... Madoff Sister was not conned. She was a early member of the Ponzi. If she started investing in the 1960's over a 40 year period she increased her assests 20 fold. She may have lost her principal... but the interest over the years more then made up for the loss, she actually owes the top tier of the pyramid millions of dollars.
