Rumor: Usher's Wife Went to Brazil For Lipo

Usher's wife, Tameka, recently made headlines after it was reported in the media that she had complications from a "routine surgery" while in Brazil. Usher's spokesmen aren't telling us exactly what kind of so-called routine surgery she had, but we can take a pretty good guess. Brazil is notorious for their plastic surgery - if you can't get it done in the US, they'll do it, plus its also a great place to say you're going on "vacation" while you're really getting work done.

It seems our suspicious have been confirmed, and the new site G1 is now reporting that Tameka was in Brazil to have liposuction. I guess that's considered routine surgery for celebrities and the rich. Rumor is, Tameka went into cardiac and respiratory arrest while she was being anesthetized, and was put in an induced coma for a full day to allow her body to stabilize. She is now said to be in recovery.

Tameka gave birth to the couple's son just two months ago, which is a bit soon for major elective surgery. Most doctors want to wait longer, which is probably why she went to Brazil to have it done. I wonder why she didn't opt for the tummy tuck abdominoplasty in combination with a C-section like every other Hollywood mommy does? She wouldn't have had to worry about sneaking off to Brazil for a little work.
