Drug Charges Dropped Against OSU Offensive Lineman Mike Adams
Franklin County Court dropped a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia against Ohio State University offensive lineman Mike Adams. Adams was fined for running a stop sign.
Adams' attorney, Garth Cox, said that a pipe found in Adams' car during a traffic stop on January 14 is used for smoking tobacco, not any kind of illegal drugs. Adams voluntarily agreed to undergo drug testing. The results came back negative, so police agreed to drop the case.
A spokesman for OSU said that Buckeyes' head football coach Jim Tressel is not expected to comment on the matter.
