Shortly following news that British actress Natasha Richardson has been severely injured in a Quebec skiing accident, Time Out New York ran a story that the actress had died from her injuries. The story did not stay published on their website for long, and was soon pulled and replaced with a story declaring that she was brain dead. Around the same time, celebrity gossip site TMZ.com reported that Richardson was not brain dead, and was being transferred to a New York City hospital to be treated for swelling of the brain.

According to TMZ, the Montreal hospital where Richardson was being treated confirmed that she is alive and is being moved. Around 2pm TMZ updated their story to say that Richardson was sedated and suffering from brain swelling, but is not brain dead.

TMZ was told that she was being transported from the hospital via ambulance, and CTV reported that she boarded a private jet accompanied by a medic. It's destination was not known, but is speculated to be NYC.
