Villanova Knocks Off Pittsburgh to Advance to Final 4

Villanova won a thrilling game 78-76 over Big East rival Pittsburgh to advance to the Final 4. Scottie Reynolds scored a basket with less than a second to go breaking the the tie and breaking the hearts of the city Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh had just tied the game with 5.6 seconds left and thought they were going to send it into overtime before the last second heroics.
The Big East, which proved it was the best league in the nation this year, has advanced the first two teams to the championship round of the NCAA Tournament. The Big East can advance a third team if Louisville can beat Michigan State in their match-up tomorrow.
Leading the way for Wildcats, who had trailed late but rallied for the win after installing a trapping defense, was Dwayne Anderson who scored 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in the win. Reynolds added 15 for the victors. Sam Young of Pittsburgh scored 28 in the losing effort.
