Kelly Rowland Dropped by Her Record Label

Just two months after firing her manager, former Destiny Child's bandmate Beyonce Knowles' dad, Kelly Rowland has been dropped by her record label. News of the World reports that despite the fact that her first two solo albums sold more than four million copies, Columbia has dumped her for fear that she is "no longer commercially viable."

Rowland first made waves on the music scene as a part of the group Destiny's Child in 1997. Then, in 2002 she released her first solo album, Simply Deep, which sold over three million copies worldwide. In 2007 she released her sophomore album, Ms. Kelly, which opened up at #6 on the Billboard domestic charts.

Rowland is currently working on a non-music related project, a reality TV program called The Fashion Show, which she will co-host.
