Jessica Simpson Dropped By Her Country Music Label

Jessica Simpson's country music experiment appears to have been an epic failure, as word now comes that she has been dropped by her record label. The Texas singer's information has been removed from the label's website, and some speculate whether this explains her sudden decision to head to Cabo instead of the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Her tour supporting Rascal Flatts hasn't exactly gone smoothly either. Several shows were marred by forgotten lyrics, jeering crowds, and do-overs.

OK! Magazine has confirmed that Simpson was dropped by Columbia Nashville. They called and an operator answering the phone said that Jessica has now "come off the label." An official spokesperson for the label, however, declined to comment.
