Hollywood to Bollywood: Don't Remake "Benjamin Button" Film, Or Else!

Hollywood producers behind the film "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" are now threatening Bollywood filmmakers with legal action over their plans to remake Brad Pitt's Oscar-winner movie.

Last month the Times of Indian reported that Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai were set to star in a film eerily similar to Benjamin Button called "Action Replay." In 2008, Pitt starred alongside Cate Blanchett in the film, which is about a man who ages backwards.

On Monday Warner Brothers and Paramount producers placed advertisements in the paper and local trade publications warning Bollywood filmmakers not to go ahead with a planned Hindi remake. Representing Warner Bros. is a New Dehli law firm who will see legal action against any film made "either in English or Hindi or other language, having a similar script, screenplay or story line or character sketches or interplay of characters or sequence of events" to the original movie.

I'm glad Hollywood is putting their foot down to Indian plagerism. Maybe Indians will finally start making up there own ideas.....
