Paul McCartney & Bob Dylan Want to Collaborate

Last year, Paul McCartney mentioned that one of his major ambitions is working with fellow musician Bob Dylan. He also hailed him as a musical "genius." It looks like McCartney's wishes might soon become reality, as Dylan recently admitted that he'd be open to the idea of a duet.

Speaking with Rolling Stone magazine, Dylan said:

"That would be exciting - to do something with Paul. But, you know, your paths have to cross for something like that to make sense."

McCartney's reps are already working on getting the two together. A spokesman for the former Beatle said this week:

"We heard this offer this morning and we're trying to let Paul know about it. I should think he would be very interested in hearing about it. As you can imagine, it would be a pretty major thing if it went ahead."

I am very much excited after

I am very much excited after hearing about this colaboration. In fact, I would wish them to form a new group consisting of Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton and Ringo Starr. None can replace Harrison and Lennon, yet if one goes through the past, Clapton and Dylan may be the right collaborators with McCartney and Starr. This will not be the new-Beatles, but a new group of musicians who are contemporary, and whose combinations seem to be the best possible musical happening in today's world. And as a wise gesture, this new group should take up the newly found lyrics of Harrison and 'Now and Then' of Lennon to render their own interpretations. It seems a dream, but it seems a possible dream. Don't you all agree?

Bob's already done a duet with Ringo

It was never released, but Bob sang on a 1987 Ringo Starr song, "Wish I Knew Now (What I Knew Then)." Would love to hear what he could do with our Paul.

A McCartney-Dylan

A McCartney-Dylan collaboration is something we can all loook forward to!

I don't agree that Ringo and

I don't agree that Ringo and the others should form an entirely new band. It is agreed that seeing these two together will be quite interesting. I could definately see Ringo, Paul, Bob, and Eric maybe touring together. I would pay to see that, for sure. I also think to honor John and George they won't be remaking those songs at all. Ringo has said before just hearing old recordings of John has been "Emotional for Everyone". Who could blame them? I'd be interested to see if this potential collaboration goes any further than just an idea.

Possible concert duet presentaion

Two musicians perhaps getting ready to invite their fans to a concert.
It could be an amazing surprise to see these two devoted musicians duet their way on stage to their fan’s hearts & spirit. If it is meant to be then it will be. Fans surely will look forward to the concert where ever it will be. I think that it is exciting to have wishes come true for this musical invitation. Especially since both musicians have been professionals on stage for most of their lives & the world has heard their tunes in many places. Amazing, they are both superstars in their own splendid styles. It is nice when wishes come true that will bring joy with pleasant sounds to an audience filled with fans. There are many who will look forwards to this possibility. Marina, California Gabriele

Dylan & McCartney

After seeing photos of Paul McCartney at George Harrison's Hollywood walk of fame ceremony posing with Tom Petty & Jeff Lynne, my first thought was that there
might be a chance for a new Traveling Wilburys project if Bob Dylan could participate.
Ringo Starr & Jim Keltner are great playing together, so they would be perfect
drummers for a Wilburys "Volume Five".
Eric Clapton might be enlisted too after his excellent work leading the
Concert for George. So, let it be in tribute to the legendary Nelson Wilbury.

Dylan & McCartney Concert

This would truly be the concert of a lifetime and if they only did one instead of touring, I would travel to it regardless of where it is!!! They are both my top two favorite artists. It would be a smash hit no matter what!!!

Paul Mccartney and Bob Dylon

I'm very excited about this colaboration too! I would love to hear the result be it a C.D. or a concert! Hope it happens!
