Sleek Looking Suzuki Concept to be Shown Off in New York

The New York Auto Show will see the debut of a brand new concept car from Suzuki. The Concept Kizashi 3 is a futuresque looking vehicle that gives car lovers an insight on what the Japeneese company has in store for future offerings. Suzuki is presenting a press conference to debut the new vehicle on Thursday, March 20, at 12:10 p.m.
Suzuki's Kizashi 3 is a upscale sports car and is the last of the Kizashi, which will also be displayed in New York, that debuted in other parts of the world late last year.
Cleveland Auto Show Starts This Weekend

Looking for something to do in the coming week? Look no further than the Cleveland Auto Show which runs from February 23-March 2nd at the IX Center. The event attracts about 650,000 visitors every year and is one of the oldest and biggest auto shows in the world.
This year it will be a special show as Chevrolet will debut the fastest Corvette with its 427 Limited Edition Z06. The car has 505 horsepower and can go from 0-to-60 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds. The world debut is a rare thing for the Cleveland show as that distinction usually goes to Detroit, Chicago, or the New York auto show.
40 automakers will take part in this years show and over 1,000 different vehicles will be on display. You will be able to get behind the wheel of Jeeps and take them on through a off road test that is set up in the massive confines of the IX Center.
Browns QB Brady Quinn to be Among Celebs at Cleveland Auto Show

The Cleveland Auto Show is upon us in less than two weeks. The show runs from Saturday, Feb. 23 to Sunday, March 2 at the I-X Center. This year there are many local sports stars helping to hawk products and sign autographs.
Here is a run down of who will be appearing at this years Cleveland Auto Show from world of Cleveland sports.
Monday, Feb. 25: “Family Day” sponsored by Medical Mutual of Ohio, welcomes Cleveland Indians' mascot Slider (5-8 p.m.) and Cavs' mascot Moondog (6-8 p.m.). Register to win a Disney cruise family package – a $4,000 grand prize. Children 15 and under get in free. Also, the first 250 people to register for the MMO Disney Cruise will receive free tickets to a Lake Erie Monsters hockey home game of their choice.
Wednesday, Feb. 27: NASCAR Night welcomes drivers Sam Hornish, Jr. in the Dodge display from 4-6 p.m.; Matt Kenseth and Travis Kvapil to the Ford display from 4-6 p.m.; Johnny Benson in the Toyota display from 4-6 p.m. Drivers TBA are also scheduled to appear in the Chevrolet display, for “free” autographs.
Thursday, February 28: Team Chevy welcomes TBA Cleveland Browns player(s)/coach to the Chevrolet display from 6-8 p.m. for “free” autographs.
Awaited 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 Creating a Buzz at Chicago Auto Show

The muscle car is back. Dodge is releasing the 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 next month to join the retro looking Ford Mustang on the roads, while GM prepares to launch its new Chevy Camaro sometime soon.
The 2009 Challenger brings back a nameplate that had been idle for decades. The new Challenger won't come cheap topping out at over $38,000 and Dodge plans on building only 6,800 of the vehicles.
Mussolini's Alfa Romeo Expected to Fetch Over $1.5 Million in Auction
Italian dictator Benito Mussolini's custom-made Alfa Romeo 6C 2300 Pescara Spyder is now expected to fetch upwards of $1.5 million at an auction to be held in February. The rare two-seater sports car was constructed in 1935 as a gift for Mussolini, after he intervened to prevent Alfa Romeo from going into liquidation during the Great Depression.
Il Duce's car was also raced by his chauffeur in the 1936 Mille Miglia, a dangerous thousand-mile road race in Italy. The chauffeur placed an impressive 13th place.
Mussolini's car has been in Italy for almost all of its life, and was only recently brought to England where it will be auctioned. The car was recently restored to its former glory by an Italian collector, the vehicle's present owner.
Toyota Debuts New CUV Venza at Detroit Auto Show

Toyota has debuted its latest model at the Detroit Auto Show today. The 2009 Toyota Venza is a brand new Cross Over Utility Vehicle that will will hit showrooms in the final quarter of 2008.
"The all-new Venza was developed as a vehicle that combines the styling, comfort and fun-to-drive performance elements of a five-passenger sedan with the surprising utility of an SUV," said Bob Carter, Toyota Division group vice president and general manager. "This winning combination will be ideal for active 'boomers' and young couples with small families."
While it may bear a Toyota badge, the car was designed in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The car will be built at Toyota's Georgetown, Kentucky location.
All Venza models will be equipped with an array of standard features including auto dual zone air conditioning, AM/FM six-disc CD, tilt/telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, remote keyless entry, electrochromic rearview mirror with compass, a multi-information display, cruise control, optitron gauges, rear wiper, privacy glass, and much more. On V6 models Venza will come standard with dual exhaust tips and will be the first Toyota model to ride on standard 20-inch alloy wheels. Four-cylinder models will come standard with 19-inch alloy wheels.
Lincoln MKT Concept Car Featuring EcoBoost Engine Unveiled

Lincoln unveiled today their newest premium utility concept vehicle - the Lincoln MKT. Key features of the spacious new vehicle include a 3.5-liter V-6 EcoBoost engine with turbocharging and direct injection that producers the power and torque of a V-8 engine, with the fuel efficiency of a V-6.
Combined with advanced transmissions, weight reductions, electric power steering, and aerodynamic improvements, the Lincoln MKT shows great promise for Ford Motor Company's vehicle sustainability strategy and appeals to consumers who want to lessen their impact on the environment without sacrificing style or power.
Ford's new EcoBoost engines, like that which is featured in the Lincoln MKT concept car, will reportedly deliver up to 20% better fuel economy on more than half a million Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles each year in North America within the next five years. The EcoBoost engine will first be featured in the Lincoln MKS next year.
As for the Lincoln MKT, Mark Fields, President of The Americas, said. "The Lincoln MKT concept offers the comfort of a luxury sedan, the spaciousness and flexibility of a full-size utility and the performance of a sporty roadster -- executed with new technologies and materials that make it as environmentally friendly as it is elegant."
Ford Motor Takes at Aim at Small Car Segment With Verve

Ford Motor Company has announced that in 2010 a new model called the Verve will hit American shores. The Ford Verve is already a reality in Europe and Australia. The American version, it will get slightly bigger and offer four doors and not just a two door model that is in production over seas. Ford is a leader in small cars throughout Europe and looks to take that success to America in the near future.
"We're looking at every aspect of what's defined Ford as a small-car leader in Europe and working to build on this expertise in driving dynamics and design across a global family of Ford cars that are as exciting to drive as they are to look at," said Derrick Kuzak, Ford's group vice president, Global Product Development.
"The Verve concept family provides a vision for a new world standard for quality, design and comfort in the small car segment," Kuzak added. "These concepts demonstrate how leveraging our global strengths can yield attractive benefits for our customers in markets around the world."
What made Ford Motor look to become a small car leader again? Sales of small cars have been booming with 23 million units in 2002 to an estimated 38 million worldwide sales predicted in 2012.

Wondering what is going to be on display at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show? Tata Motors Launches $2500 Nano Car in India

Tata Motors unveiled the long-awaited launch of their new low-cost vehicle, the Nano, at the New Delhi Auto Expo on Thursday. The Nano has been proclaimed the cheapest car in the world, coming in at just $2,500 USD.
The car promises to change the face of not only the Indian car market, but also the global auto industry. The pint-sized car is a five-seater hatch with four doors, and is powered by a 30 HP Bosh 624 cc four stroke engine mounted out back and mated to a CVT. This marks the first time a 2-cylinder gasoline engine will be used in a car with a single balancer shaft. Even more impressive is the car's expected 54 miles per gallon.
