Burn Notice's Jeffrey Donovan Busted for DUI After Crashing into Police Cruiser

Actor Jeffrey Donovan, star of the television show "Burn Notice", was arrested for a DUI earlier this month, and the details have now come out. According to Radar, he crashed into a Miami Beach Police Cruiser around 11:50pm on July 11 and refused a breath test.

According to the police report, Donovan stated:

“I really think I’m only borderline and not too drunk – the only mistake I made tonight was to drink Benadryl with three glasses of wine.”

Officers noted that at the time of the crash he had "blood-shot watery eyes", and was driving a 2009 black two-door Audi at the time of the crash.

The officer noted in his report:

“I asked the defendant if he was alright to which he answered – ‘Sorry I didn’t see the red light or your stop car. I then smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the defendant’s breath and observed that the defendant had a flushed face.”

Donte Stallworth Released from Prison Early

Donte Stallworth, the Cleveland Browns' wide receiver who plead guilty to DUI manslaughter and was subsequently sentenced to 30 days in jail, was released early from a Miami prison on Friday. Stallworth left the jail at about 5:55am Friday, serving just 24 days of the 30 day sentence. He still faces years of probation and house arrest, and is not permitted to drive.

Exiting the jail, Stallworth refused to comment to reporters waiting outside.

Earlier this week some additional details about the day Stallworth struck 59-year-old Mario Reyes with his vehicle were released. Stallworth had met with fellow Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards and some friends at a Miami Beach club the night before the accident, where he says he drank tequila. He then said he went to his condo for a nap and headed out for breakfast when he struck Reyes. Stallworth said that Edwards told him that he seemed fine at the time.

John Edwards' Sex Tape with Rielle Hunter

According to the National Enquirer, who first broke news of John Edwards' affair with, former aide Andrew Young is not only writing a tell-all book, but he's also got in his possession a video recording of Edwards and mistress Rielle Hunter having sex. He reportedly told the secret Grand Jury investigating Edwards' hush money conspiracy about the tape, which he will also describe in his forthcoming book.

Edwards and Hunter are now said to be accusing Young of secretly taping them, claim insiders. They believe that Young may have videotaped them having sex in North Carolina in 2007 while Rielle was pregnant.

Young, however, claims that he found the tape while "unpacking" after he and hi family relocated to a new home in California. According to a close source, Rielle lived for awhile in Young's guest room to hide the affair, where Edwards secretly hooked up with her "making a booty call."

The source revealed:

"John and Rielle think Andrew concocted the story that he 'found' the tape. They think he may have been the one responsible for recording it."

Police Say McNair's Girlfriend Recently Purchased a Gun

The woman found shot to death along with Steve McNair this weekend, who is believed to have been his girlfriend, was said to have recently purchased a gun. Farzin Abdi, the nephew of Sahel Kazemi, has told media that Nashville police told him that she recently bought a gun.

Abdi also says that he does not believe Kazemi would have killed McNair and herself.

The former Tennessee Titans quarterback and Kazemi were found dead Saturday in a condominium owned by McNair. Abdi adds that police told him that they are nearly certain that Kazemi, 20, was the shooter.

Diana Taurasi Charged With DUI After Early Morning Traffic Stop


While it is normally male athletes in the news for their bad behavior, one of the members of the fairer sex is in a bit of a legal bind today. Diana Taurasi, the WNBA star who made a name for herself after 4 stellar years at U Conn, has been charged with DUI. Taurasi, who plays for the Phoenix Mercury, was stopped by police at 2:30 Thrusday morning and failed sobriety tests. She was then given a blood test and released.

Two More Go Down as Guilty in Cuyahoga County Corruption Probe

J. Kevin Kelley, a former employee of the Cuyahoga County Engineer's Office, pleaded guilty to eleven corruption charges on Wednesday, including bribery, mail fraud, theft, conspiracy and tax fraud. On Thursday, two more people under federal investigation for corruption in Cuyahoga County also pleaded guilty. His former co-worker at the engineer's office, Kevin Payne, also pleaded guilty on Wednesday. On Thursday, Daniel Gallagher, also a former employee of the engineer's office, entered guilty pleas to various conspiracy, theft, bribery and tax evasion charges under a plea agreement. Businessman Brian Schuman of Bedford also pleaded guilty to conspiracy on Thursday.

No sentencing dates have yet been set for Schuman or Gallagher.

Andrew Young Testifies Before Secret Grand Jury Investigating John Edwards

Former John Edwards campaign staffer and loyalist Andrew Young is said to have secretly me the Federal Grand Jury currently investigating the alleged hush money conspiracy. According to the National Enquirer, Young will make a major damaging claim against Edwards, who in a book proposal said that Edwards told him he "woud be taken care of for life" if he falsely claimed he was the father of Rielle Hunter's baby.

In the proposal, Young also quotes Edwards as saying "You know how much I love you. You know I'd walk off a cliff for you and I know you'd walk off a cliff for me. I will never forget this. And I will always be there for you."

Earlier this year, the Enquirer was the first to report that both the FBI and IRS were investigating Edwards for possible wrongdoing. Before appearing in front of the grand jury, Young says that he was questioned by the FBI.

Young appeared before the grand jury on Wednesday at the Terry Sanford Federal Building in Raleigh, North Carolina. He entered the building accompanied by his lawyer David Geneson at 8:30AM, and spend the day with the feds investigating how Edwards spend campaign funds which were earmarked for his second Presidential campaign.

J. Kevin Kelley Pleads Guilty in Cuyahoga County Corruption Probe

On Wednesday, J. Kevin Kelley, a former employee of the Cuyahoga County Engineer's Office, admitted his role in the corruption in Cuyahoga County government. He became the first to admit guilt, pleading guilty to eleven corruption charges including bribery, mail fraud, theft, conspiracy and tax fraud.

Other local officials who have been under the watchful eye of Uncle Sam include County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora and County Auditor Frank Russo. Fellow engineer's office employee Kevin Payne also pleaded guilty on Wednesday.

Kelley and Payne will now work with the feds to build their case against other key players in the scandal in hopes of cutting down the amount of time they'll spend in prison. Kelley could be facing up to ten years in jail, but if he gives federal authorities the help they are looking for it could be reduced down to six.
