2007's List of Most Popular Halloween Costumes

This year, princesses once again took the crown as the top costume choice for kids (10.7%), with Spider-Man following in second (4.8%). The third most popular costume, a pirate (4.7%), is undoubtedly inspired by the hit "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies. Fourth and fifth place go to age-old Halloween standards, a witch (4.2%) and fairy (2.8%) respectively.

Television shows and movies are once again the inspiration for many hot children's costumes. One new addition to the list this year is Disney's Hannah Montana, who comes in at 23rd on the list, immediately followed by everyone's favorite boy wizard Harry Potter.

But Halloween isn't just for kids! Nearly 60% of consumers are planning celebrating Halloween in some way or another, which means many adults will be joining in the revelry themselves. One-third of adults (33.8%) will dress in a costume this year, and of those almost three-quarters (74.8%) already had a costume in mind last month. The top five choices for adults were all a bit more traditional: witch (16.9%), pirate (3.8%), vampire (3.1%), cat (2.5%), and princess (3.8%). Other adult favorites include Star Wars characters (1.2%), doctor (0.9%), and an athlete (1.0%).

Fun Recipe: Halloween Cheese Pizza

If you're looking for a way to spruce up regular old pizza for your Halloween bash, Betty Crocker has come up with a scary-good idea with their Halloween Cheese Pizza recipe.

To get started, make a pizza according to your favorite recipe, or you could even order one from a pizza shop. Betty Crocker's also got a recipe for the pizza base that you might find suitable. After you've got your basic pizza ready, it's time to Halloween-ize the pie.

Get out your favorite Halloween shaped cookie cutters, grab some slices of American cheese (or another flavor if you prefer) and start cutting out shapes. Arrange them on top of the pizza, and voilà, you've got a Halloween pizza.

Enjoy!

Google Celebrates Halloween - Makes Scary Stories Searchable

Google gives the world a little Halloween treat this year by making classic scary stories searchable online. They've gathered a number of spooky classic tales, including Dr. Jecklyl and Mr. Hyde, as well as Dracula, The Legend of Sleepy Hallow, Frankenstein and more, and put them all up on a special page for easy access.

Just go to www.google.com/scarystories, where you will find 26 classic scary titles. Here you are able to search and view the full-text of these stories. Additionally, a number of stories with a little "download" button next to them will allow you to download a PDF version of the book so that you can print it out and read it at your own leisure.

If you find a title that you'd like to buy, Google Books makes it easy for you to find available hard copies.
