Annual Cleveland Home and Garden Show at IX Center this Weekend

With the atrocious winter we have had in Cleveland it may be hard to actually envision your garden that is currently hidden under the snow or doing projects around the home. Well, you can get out of the winter doldrums by making a voyage to the IX Center this weekend and remember that spring is actually not that far away.

The 66th edition of the popular show is themed "The Romance of France". The event runs from Febuary 7th- 15th. Tickets are priced at $13 and parking costs $8 per vehicle.

Light-Emitting Wallpaper: The Next Hot Thing in Interior Design?

When it comes to wallpaper designs, there's something for everyone - flowers, funky designs, or even just an interesting texture. Heck, you can even get scratch-and-sniff wallpaper. The latest innovation in wallpaper technology, however, adds an entirely new dimension to the art of papering your walls. New light-emitting wallpaper is truly unique in that you can illuminate a room in an all-new way, while at the same time adorning your walls.

So long as the wallpaper is turned "off", just like a lamp or light bulb, no one can tell that your wallpaper is a source of light. It looks like regular old wallpaper until you turn it on. While the product photos only show the paper being used with standard white light emitting, I can't help but wonder if colored lights could also be used.

While there are no pricing details yet available, we're expecting it to be on the more costly end of the spectrum. You can find out more information about the wallpaper at Jonas Sampson Product Design.

Scratch-n-Sniff Wallpaper Becomes a Reality

Remember the neat scratch-n-sniff stickers you used to get as a kid? If you ever wondered how cool it would be to have wallpaper that smelled as delicious as your favorite flavored sticker, wonder no more! Scratch-n-Sniff wallpaper has become a reality, as Flavor Paper has introduced a new line of smelly wallpaper called "The Fruit Cocktail Collection."

Flavor Paper got the idea when Michael Angelo asked if they could actually make scratch-n-sniff wallpaper. Never ones to turn down a challenge, they took the idea and ran with it, resulting in an awesome trio of hand screened fruit wallpaper designed by Michael and Flavor Paper. The intial line-up includes three yummy flavors - B-A-N-A-N-A-S!, Cherry Forever, and Tutti Frutti, all of which smell exactly like what their names imply.

The wallpaper is very bright and colorful, so you may not want to decorate an entire room in it, but it would work great as an accent wall. It'd be great for a kids room as well.

Another great thing about this wallpaper is that a percentage of the sales goes to the Human Rights Campaign to help achieve human equality. So not only can you childhood fantasy of yours come true, but you can also help a worthy cause.
