If you've always dreamed of owning a posh British Mulberry bag, but haven't been able to afford the over $1k price tag that most of their stuff carries, there's good news - Target has just unveiled their new Mulberry for Target line. The line hit store shelves on Sunday, and in just hours their online stock sold out.
Many stores across the country are now either sold out, or are on the verge of selling out. Expect these bags to be popping up for more than their $49.99 and up price tags on eBay.
The line's Large Cerise Leopard Satchel goes for just $49.99, compared to a similar purple leopard Alexa Hobo bag that goes for $1,450 from Mulberry's original collection.
If you're hoping to snag one of these bags (other designs are also available), check out your local Target stores sooner rather than later because these aren't going to last!
Lindsay Lohan to Pose Nude to Promote Her Line of Handbags
By Leader Staff. Published on 06/22/2010 - 10:43am
Lindsay Lohan is no stranger to taking her clothes off in front of the camera, and she's not going to let a little thing like a SCRAM anklet prevent her from doing it again. The 23-year-old actress will pose nude in print ads for her 6126 line of handbags.
According to Richard Luna of The California Bag, which licenses the 6126 bags, Lohan will take off her clothes and roll around in a bed for a photo shoot in LA next month. He's not sure whether or not her SCRAM bracelet will be part of the pictorial. He added:
"We're thinking of having police on hand so we can remove the ankle bracelet for the pictures."
He also said that she might be photographed with and without the device, or it could be airbrushed out later.
LiLo's 6126 line of handbags will hit department stores this fall, and will retail for $200 to $600. A cheaper line, 7286, will sell for under $200 at lower-end department stores like Macy's.
If you were wondering what the 6126 and the 7286 stand for, they're the birthdates of Marilyn Monroe and Lindsay Lohan, respectively. Yea, she's still obsessed with JFK's late lover.
Hayden Panettiere Is The New Face Of Dooney & Burke
By Julie Kent. Published on 11/15/2007 - 11:56pm
Dooney & Burke, most famous for their line of handbags, are continuing their five year tradition of introducing their trend collection targeted to today's youth. They've also just unveiled the new face of Dooney & Burke - "Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere.
In addition to being the new spokeswoman for the purse-makers, they've also collaborated with the actress to release a new bag - The Hayden Bag.
For this current season, Hayden described the bag that she envisioned: a large leather shoulder bag with puffy pleats, a buckle closure and great style.
Working with Dooney & Burke's design studio in Florence, Italy, Peter Dooney and his design team took Hayden's vision and turned it into the limited edition Hayden Bag, which will retail for about $500.
Hayden Panettiere follows in the footsteps of other Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, and Emma Roberts, who have all been previous spokeswomen for the brand.
Jessica Simpson Kicks-Off New Line of Shoes & Handbags
By Eugene McCormick. Published on 11/15/2007 - 1:56pm
Last week, singer and wannabe actress Jessica Simpson launched her new line of handbags, shoes, and perfume. Simpson already has a line of shoes, boots, handbags, jeans, hair extensions, and Dessert treats, but this newest collection will only be sold at Macy's stores.
Jessica Simpson showed up at the Macy's store in New York City to promote her new fashion line and sign autographs. All of the items in her new Macy's "Jessica Simpson" fashion line are available to buy in-store or online.
Meanwhile, Jess' music career has gone stagnant, with her records selling very few copies. Her venture into the movie business doesn't seem to be panning out very well either, with her latest flick "Major Movie Star" already getting panned by the critics.
"Hello Kitty" Handbags & Wallets For Grown-Ups
By Julie Kent. Published on 11/06/2007 - 11:38am
Designer Rebecca Minkoff has teamed up with "Hello Kitty" to design a series of leather totes and coin purses featuring the iconic white kitty in a much more subtle, grown-up fashion. So instead of the typical bright and bold pieces that Hello Kitty usually emblazons, you now have an option that is sure to match with most of your wardrobe, and that you can take places you couldn't really them pull off at before.
The collection consists of two business-friendly leather tote bags, which are priced at about $600 each. Hello Kitty's tiny face is engraved into the metal hardware, and the inside has a printed lining. Also a part of the collection is a cute leather coin purse, which has the Hello Kitty face embossed into the leather. The only bold Hello Kitty piece in this collection is the clutch, which features a bright Hello Kitty print. But, it's not pink, rather, it's blue, and it's a bit more grown-up than the standard Hello Kitty print.
You can pick up Minkoff's Hello Kitty collection online at Sanrio and Momoberry.
