Old Navy Unveils New Look Logo; Looks to Attract Younger Sect

Old Navy is trying to change its image. The company is looking to attract a twenty-something audience. The first sign of this attempt is the company coming up with a brand new logo that they hope will freshen up their new look. The changes won't only be superficial. The clothing that the company designs will also get a revised look.

"Things are looking up," said Mark Montagna, a senior analyst with CL King & Associates told Adage.com. "Since [Old Navy President] Dawn Robertson arrived in late 2006, the decisions she's made operationally, with marketing and merchandising, have been the right decisions. Everything has been moving forward."

Old Navy wants to lose the image of a discount brand with the new look.

Former Pitcher Mark Littell Pitches "Nutty Buddy"

Mark Littell, a former Major League Baseball pitcher with the Kansas City Royals and Seattle Mariners in the 1970's and 1980's, is pitching something new these days: the Nutty Buddy athletic cup. Littell says that he's come up with a better cup, and is willing to prove it.

In a clever marketing pitch, Littell has taken a video of himself getting hit right between the legs with a pitching machine at a very close range. The video has already amassed more than 50,000 views, and has inspired others to make similar videos.

Littell claims that it is more comfortable and does a better job at protecting than traditional cups as it is closer shaped to the male anatomy. Priced at $20, the Nutty Buddy is also twice as expensive as the regular ones.

Littell reports to having sold about 3,500 online, and is looking to sign a deal with Bike Athletic.

Cool Invention: Wine Stain Resistant Dress Shirts

Virtually everyone is familiar with the pains of removing wine stains from clothing, furniture, and even your carpet. Well finally one of those problems has been solved. British clothing designer Thomas Pink has come up with a wine stain-proof shirt for both men and women. So when wine comes flying your way, you won't need to worry about it ruining your shirt, but you'll still likely be scrubbing it out of the carpets and couch.

Thomas Pink has created the Pristine Stain Resistant shirts in designs for both men and women. According to the company website, a splash of wine or juice will just roll off the shirt. The shirts are also crease resistant.
