Lily Allen Says Cocaine Isn't That Bad

Some people are just bad drug users.

Lily Allen, a British singer, better not be planning on coming to the U.S. anytime soon because the Department of Homeland Security may not be too pleased with her. No, she didn't threaten to bomb any cities and she hasn't converted to Islam as far as we know. Instead, she talked about one of the world's inherent evils - drugs - in a more positive light than we're used to over here.

While Americans starve and lose their jobs, the war on drugs rages on. The messages that Lily have go against everything that our government believes in. Drugs are evil they say, but Lily, however, suggests that they aren't all that bad:

“The only story is that drugs are bad and they will kill you - you will become a prostitute, a rapist or a dealer. But that's not true. I know lots of people who take cocaine three nights a week and get up and go to work. But we never hear that side of the story. I wish people wouldn’t sensationalize it. Some people are just bad at taking drugs," said Lily.

The argument makes perfect sense to me.

Jennifer Hudson May Come Out of Hiding to Sing at Obama's Inauguration

Since the tragic murder of her mother, brother and nephew in Chicago in October 2008, actress and singer Jennifer Hudson has refused to make any public appearances. She may make her return to the spotlight on the national stage later this month, as it is said that Barack Obama wants her to perform the US national anthem at his Inauguration on January 20.

Hudson's publicist has thus far refused to comment.

Both Barack and Michelle Obama are said to be fans of the 27-year-old singer, who comes from a working class area of Chicago near Michelle's childhood home. Hudson previously sang the anthem at the Democratic National Convention in Denver this past summer.

When her mother Darnell Donnerson, 57, brother Jason Hudson, 29, and nephew Julian King, 7, were found dead in late October, Jennifer cancelled all public appearances. William Balfour, 27, the husband of Jennifer's sister Julia, has been charged with all three murders.

Here's the video of Hudson's performance at the DNC:

Ann Coulter Rips on Michelle Obama's Fashion Sense in Latest Book

Having been upstaged in 2008 by The View's Elizabeth Hasselbeck as the crazy conservative that likes to say stupid things about Democrats, Ann Coulter is striking early and hoping to regain her rightful place in 2009. What better a target than the new incoming first lady, Michelle Obama.

In Coulter's new book, Guilty: Liberal "Victims" and their Assault on America, she attacks Michelle Obama's wardrobe. She notes:

"Her obvious imitation of Jackie O's style - the flipped-under hair, the sleeveless A-line dresses, the short strands of fake pearls - would have been laughable if done by anyone other than a media-designated saint."

Cindy McCain, whose husband John failed to win the presidency this past November, does however get Coulter's seal of approval. I can't say this is all that surprising. Coulter says that Cindy "Dressed well without freakishly imitating famous First Ladies in history."

Pete Wentz Doesn't Read Blogs Anymore

Poor Pete Wentz. Online media, such as blogs and websites like this, actually took the time to write about him and what they had to say made him get upset. In a recent interview with Blender, he told them that he stopped reading blogs:

I was letting the blogs get to me. It's semi-frustrating when your name actually becomes a synonym for douche bag."

It hasn't, however, stopped him from blogging himself at petewentz.com.

Although they're not married and currently have no plans to do so, Carrey has set up his girlfriend with a $50 million trust account for her and her son. If anything should ever happen to him, Jenny and her kid will be well taken care of.

Ohio Woman Suing LA Police for Using Her as a Jamie Lynn Spears Decoy

Adessa Eskridge, a pretty blond from Ohio, was used as a decoy for Jamie Lynn Spears by Los Angeles airport police attempting to fool paparazzi. They reportedly never told her what they were planning to do, and now she's filed a lawsuit against them and is seeking damages.

Eskridge flew to LA for a college football game and says she felt "publicly humiliated" when video of her supposedly acting as Jamie Lynn filled the gossip sites.

Vernon said that if they city rejects her claim, she'll sue, and he vows to file a lawsuit citing false arrest and negligent infliction emotional distress if it is rejected.
