Sarah Michelle Gellar to Maxim Magazine: Chicks are Dirty

Sarah Michelle Gellar lent her opinion on cat fights when she shot a cover piece for Men's magazine 'Maxim'. She says that men fight more fairly then women.

“Chicks are dirty — hair pulling, scratching. Guys have guy codes. They don’t sucker-punch. They don’t punch in certain areas. Anything goes in chick fights. But if anything ever goes down, I think I’ll be OK. I’m pretty scrappy.”

All Sides Agree: The Writer's Strike Will Be A Long One

If you were under the impression that the writer's strike was going to be quickly resolved, you might want to rethink that position. Word from the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, the Writers Guild of America, and nearly every other industry observer after a full week of work stoppage already is that this strike is going to be a long one.

Before talks broke down late at night on Sunday, November 4th, both sides had contended that they were making some progress. But now it seems that no one is even expecting negotiations to begin anytime soon.

AMPTP President Nick Counter said:

"In 1988, they were out for five months, and we anticipate that they will be out at least that long."

WGA West President Patric Verrone also said:

"We are prepared to do whatever is necessary to get a contract. If that includes picketing 14 studio sites a day plus an unknown number of location shoots every day, we will do that as long as we can."

The sense of doom and gloom might be the only thing that the two sides agree on right now. In fact, neither side even agrees on who actually walked out of the talks before the strike began.

Nirvana's most striking moment was probably the classic performance they gave on MTV's 'Unplugged'. Fans of Kurt Cobain and the band will be happy to hear that the performance is set for a release on November 19th. If that date is familiar to you, you are on to something. November 19th, 1993, was the day the show took place and the DVD is being released 14 years to the day of the historic performance.

The DVD will feature state of the art 5.1 sound which will make viewers feel that they are actually at the show.

The release pleases bassist Krist Novoselic. He stated:

Late Beatle George Harrison to be Featured in Scorsese Documentary

While George Harrison may have played second fiddle in The Beatles to John Lennon and Paul McCartney, he will get first class treatment when his life story is told in a documentary that will be directed by renowned director Martin Scorsese.

"Harrison's music and his search for spiritual meaning is a story that still resonates today and I'm looking forward to delving deeper," Scorsese said in a statement

Harrison's widow issued a statement saying:

"It would have given George great joy to know that Martin Scorsese has agreed to tell his story."

Harrison isn't the only Beatle to have his life story told on the Silver Screen. John Lennon's life was a featured documentary that came to screens in 1988. If Scorsese's look into the life of Harrison is even a fraction as good as that film, Beatles fans will be in for a treat.

Jessica Biel Rumored to Play Wonder Woman

Jessica Biel is talks for the movie "Justice League of America" to play Wonder Woman. This is the first casting news to come out of the film which will most likely be a star-studded blockbuster. The 25 year old Biel made her debut on television with the dram 7th Heaven and has graced the silver screen on films such as 'Summer Catch', the remake of 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre', 'The Illusionist', and this summer's comedy 'I now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry'.

Paul McCartney Wants to Bring the World Some Silly Shrek Songs

Paul McCartney used to "want sing the world silly love songs". Maybe divorce has made him bitter on that subject and now he focus on "Shrek songs". The former Beatle may also lend his famous voice to a character in the upcoming film.

"Producers want Paul to compose some original tunes for the next one. He could even briefly voice a character. There have been meetings and apparently he's very keen, because his daughter is a fan," the source told UK's Daily Express.

The Who to Release "Lost" Footage from 1960's on Retrospective DVD

Performances thought that have not been seen since the 1960's from 'The Who' have been found and are set for released in November as part of retrospective film. Roger Daltry and Pete Townshend spearheaded the new DVD 'Amazing Journey: The Story of the Who'.

"The film was lost for the ages, but three years ago, an old gentleman in Amsterdam was cleaning out his loft. "His grandson knew this was what the Who used to call themselves, and they put it on and realised what it was. "We had 834 separate items we had to clear in the past few months. Our post-production specialist is now writing a PhD paper for NYU based on this project. It was unprecedented. It is really difficult to take these different formats and make them work," Producer Nigel Sinclair told Billboard magazine.

Along with the unseen performances, legendary gigs by the band will be included such as Monterey, Woodstock, The Isle of Wight 1970, Fete de l'Humanite, and The Concert for NYC.
