Former Edwards' Aide Said He's Refused "Gigantic" Offers for Sex Tape

Former John Edwards aide Andrew Young has a sex tape featuring the former North Carolina senator and his mistress/baby momma, Rielle Hunter. He has described it as somewhat like a trainwreck - its awful to watch but you can't take your eyes off it. Well apparently there have been quite a few offers to purchase the tape, but Young says he has turned them down.
In Young's tell-all book "The Politician", which was released last week, he claimed that he found the sex tape in a box left in a home he and his wife had shared with Hunter. In an interview which aired Monday on ABC's "Good Morning America", Young said:
“I could not have told this story without including this sex tape. We’ve been offered gigantic amounts of money and we’ve said no.”
He says that he kept the tape, as well as phone messages from Edwards, to backup his account of what he saw while he helped Edwards cover up his affair and the child that resulted from him. Edwards lawyers claim Young wrote the book for financial gain, but Young denies that.
Last week Hunter won a temporary restraining order in a North Carolina report demanding that Young return the 2006 video "of a very private and personal nature." In addition, she has filed a lawsuit against Young and his wife, and seeks a jury trial demanding damages for invasion of privacy. In court documents filed Friday, deputies said that they went to Young's home to attempt to recover the tapes and photographs. However after some discussion, Young's attorney told authorities that he could not immediately hand them over.
Edwards had denied the affair for more than a year, and the fact that he is the father of Hunter's daughter for two years. He and his wife have now separated.
When asked on Monday if he would turn over the videotape, Young said:
"Catcher in the Rye" Author JD Salinger Dead at Age 91
Author J.D. Salinger, best known for his novel "The Catcher in the Rye", has died at the age of 91 in New Hampshire. In a statement issued by his literary representative, Salinger's son says he died of natural causes at his home.
In recent years, Salinger became somewhat of a recluse, choosing to live in isolation in his small, remote house in Cornish, NH.
Salinger wrote mainly for adults, but his book "The Catcher in the Rye" was identified with by teens all over the world. Released in 1951 in the midst of the anxious Cold War era, teens were easily able to identify with the book's immortal teen protagonist, Holden Caulfield.
Oprah to Publish Tell-All Book, Finally Revealing Her Big Gay Secret
Kitty Kelley's unauthorized biography of Oprah Winfrey, "Oprah: A Biography", has spurred the queen of daytime TV to publish her own account of her life and set the record straight. The long-awaited book has already been written, but had been put on the back-burner by Oprah on the advice of friends and family. According to the National Enquirer, the blockbuster autobiography will expose all of her deepest, darkest secrets, including the gay rumors that have surrounded her longtime romance with Stedman Graham and intimate friendship with Gayle King.
According to a source familiar with the content of Oprah's book, the media mogul will also confess to having spent more than $5 million in her never-ending quest to control her weight. But the biggest bombshell in the book has to do with the agony Oprah has endured over the years which began when she started dating Stedman in 1986. Sources say:
Yoko Ono to Write Tell-All Book About Her Life with John Lennon & the Beatles' Break-Up

Yoko Ono has revealed that she intends to write a book about her life with John Lennon. Speaking about writing the autobiography, 76-year-old widow of the late former Beatle said:
"I would love to do it. I just have to find the time. It will be my next book, which will be written in the next five years."
Yoko had previously said that she would not release a book for fear of hurting the families of people close to the group, including Lennon's ex-wife Cynthia Lennon. It appears her tune has changed.
Yoko is blamed by many Beatles fans for causing the band's split, and John's marriage to Cynthia fell apart as his fame grew and shortly after he met Yoko. John and Cynthia, who had son Julian together, divorced in 1968. One year later, John married Yoko. They too had a son together, Sean.
Yoko says that she is looking forward to dispelling some of the myths that surround the Beatles split and revealing all about her affair with John.
Unlike John Lennon's first wife Cynthia, Yoko has never shared her side of the Beatles story or the truth about her affair and marriage to John. As such, this will be a highly anticipated book and give Beatles fans another perspective.
Former Cleveland Cavalier Chris Dudley Writes Book About Overcoming Hurdles of Diabetes

Longtime Cleveland Cavaliers fans probably have fond memories of Chris Dudley, who at 6' 11'' could jump through the roof, but was one of the most challenged free throw shooters in the history of the NBA. When the former Ivy League star out of Yale's career was complete, the fourth round draft pick by the Cavaliers would play 16 seasons and grab nearly 5,500 rebounds in his career for 5 different teams. He was also a trailblazer in many ways for people who suffer from Type 1 diabetes. Dudley was the first NBA player to play with the disease and opened the doors for players such as Adam Morrison, who was selected with the third overall pick in the NBA draft 2 decades after Dudley hung up his high tops.
Dudley will tell his inspirational story to children in a new book released in time for Diabetes Awareness Month. "Chris Dreams BIG" tells his story and the press release promoting the book reads:
Ted Kennedy Claimed to Have Slept with over 1,000 Women

In a chapter of his autobiography, the late Senator Ted Kennedy confessed to having slept with over 1,000 women and spending more than $10 million in hush money to keep his womanizing ways a secret. If you crack open the book, however, you won't find a mention of this in there anywhere. That is because horrified family members and advisers cut it out before the book was published.
A close source also revealed to the National Enquirer that before he died of brain cancer at age 77 on August 25, Kennedy also revealed that he had planned to seduce Mary Jo Kopechne on the night she drowned. The source said:
"While dictating his memoirs into a tape recorder, Ted decided to tell the whole truth about his life - including his love life. He said that his first lover was an Irish nanny. She was about 19, and Ted was only 13.
When his mother found out, she sent the nanny back to Ireland. Rose made Ted pray on his knees for hours to ask forgiveness. But Ted recalled that even his sore knees couldn't wipe the smile off his face.
From that day on, he says he seduced as many women as he could, from maids and cooks at the family's Hyannis Port compound to college friends that his sisters brought home."
Cryogenics Lab Used Ted Williams' Frozen Head For Batting Practice
According to Larry Johnson, author of the new book "Frozen", workers at an Arizona cryonics facility decapitated the lifeless body of baseball legend Ted Williams and used his frozen head in a bizarre batting practice. In his tell-all book, Johnson describes the horrific conditions of the Alcor Life Extension Foundation in Scottsdale, Arizona, and how Williams was beheaded, his head frozen and repeatedly abused.
Williams' body, known at the facility as "Alcorian A-1949", was sent to Alcor at the direction of his son, John Henry Williams, who died of leukemia in 2004. Bodies are kept at the facility suspended in liquid nitrogen in case future generations learn how to revive them.
Johnson, the former chief operating officer at Alcor, explained in the book that in July 2002, just after Williams died at the age of 83, technicians without any kind of medical certification happily photographed and used crude equipment to decapitate him. He says that Williams' severed head was then frozen and even used for batting practice by a technician trying to dislodge it from a tuna fish can.
Sarah Palin Finishes Book Ahead of Schedule, To Be Released November 17
Just four months after announcing her book deal, former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin has finished writing her memoir. The book, which was originally scheduled for a spring 2010 release, will now be available beginning November 17, 2009. "Going Rogue: An American Life" will first be released as a hardcover before the digital edition is made available on December 26, in order to "maximize hardcover sales over the holidays." Anticipating large interest and sales, a first press of 1.5 million books has been ordered.
Palin was able to finish her book quickly with the help of a ghostwriter. Her first book will be 400 pages, and Harper publisher Jonathan Burnham says that a fall release is "the best possible time for a major book of this kind." Burnham also described the book and writing process, stating that “Governor Palin has been unbelievably conscientious and hands-on at every stage, investing herself deeply and passionately in this project. It’s her words, her life, and it’s all there in full and fascinating detail.”
Book Review: Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol

Dan Brown's current book is a compelling read. It takes place in Washington DC and left me with the desire to visit our nation's capitol. Brown has immense knowledge of many buildings in Washington and the information he shares is fascinating.
Dan Brown is obviously intrigued by the Masons and, in my opinion, the book is dragged down by an overly detailed description of this society. He also seems to be pushing an agenda of spreading the word on the untapped ability of the human mind to perform amazing feats.
I would recommend the book for its ability to draw you into the adventure that Robert Langdon finds himself involved with. He is the Harvard professor who is an expert at symbols from the previous Dan Brown novel, The DaVinci code. Langdon finds himself coming to the aid of a friend who is a high ranking Mason. The friend has been kidnapped and Langdon has to solve a complicated puzzle in order to ensure that his friend is returned to safety. The CIA is involved due to what is perceived as a national security threat.
