Transcript: Texans Head Coach Gary Kubiak talks Browns as Teams Prepare for Battle

(On breaking the current three-game losing streak)- “The thing that’s hurt our football team the most this year has been turnovers and we’ve really struggled from that standpoint. They put it on the ground way too much offensively and we’ve turned it over way too much and then haven’t gotten back on defense. We played a good football team last week, battled them to the end and they came up two plays short. We just need to find one or two more plays. They need to stay focused on themselves and continue to get better as a football team.”

(On Steve Slaton being a third round pick)- “One of our big issues from last year was stability with running backs. He had big issues the first year here and they went to Ahman Green and hoped that would stabilize it. It hasn’t, he has had some problems with his health and those type of things. We drafted this young man, and we got right back in the same boat in camp and made a decision in week two that we were just going to go with the young kid. That was a lot to ask of him, but boy he has played well. He has gotten better each week, he got worn down a little bit and he freshened up some last week. He has got a bright future, he’s a sharp young man and plays hard. He loves football, and nothing really bothers him. I think he has a very bright future.”

Browns Offensive Stars Talk to Press in Berea

Three members of the Cleveland Browns offense, which helped put 29 points up on the scoreboard in the victory on Monday, talked to the press. Brady Quinn's main concern is improving his pass efficiency after his 14-36 outing. Braylon Edwards talks about building timing with the new timing with his new signal caller. Jamal Lewis addresses the fact that he has not had a 100 yard game yet in the 2008 season. Here is what they all said on the variety of questions posed to them:

Brady Quinn (On where he can improve)

“I think overall just passing efficiency. I think that’s something that hurt us in the game. Also communication on different things. If you look back at the green zone for us, (we) didn’t really convert as much as we’d like to. Obviously we were getting field goals but we want touchdowns. Third down efficiency, just need to pick up a few things here and there.”

Browns Quotebook from Berea Following MNF Win Over Buffalo

The Cleveland Browns returned to Berea with smiles on their faces after a wild win in Buffalo before a nationally televised audience on ESPN's Monday Night Football. Here is what the Browns players said about the big win.

Phil Dawson who kicked a game winning field goal of 56 yards to put the Browns ahead 29-27.

(On the last play)

Well in the spur of the moment you have to be confident so as soon as we threw the incomplete pass on third down I was ready to go and gave Romeo me the nod. He had the confidence to send me out there which I appreciate and we were able to get the job done.

Phil Dawson the Hero for the Browns With Late 56 Yard Field Goal to Capture 29-27 Win Over Bills

The Cleveland Browns stand at 4-6 following a win 29-27 over the Buffalo Bills wild Monday Night Football contest that saw a lot of drama in primetime. The Browns narrowly escaped becoming the first team in NFL history to blow three leads of 13 or more points in consecutive contests when a Ryan Lindell field goal sailed right with seconds to go to seal the win for Browns. Phil Dawson had just moments before put the Browns ahead in the game with a long 56 yard field goal in a game that saw leads exchange in the final three minutes.

Brady Quinn played mistake free football for the Browns throwing 36 times while completing 14 for 185 yards. The highlight of the night was Jerome Harrison;s 72 yard touchdown run in the third quarter while Braylon Edwards grabbed 8 Quinn passes for 104 yards in the victory. The Browns defense forced Trent Edwards into three first half interceptios which helped the club jump to a 13-0 lead in the first half but the team nearly blew the lead letting the Bills back in the game that proved to be back and forth for much of the second half.

Customs Officials Bracing for Extra Traffic Due to Browns-Bills Game Tonight

If you're traveling through western New York this afternoon or evening, you may want to figure in some extra time for your commute. The US Customs and Border Protection officials are warning travelers to anticipate traffic backups at border crossings because of the Monday night football game between the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills.

Thousands of Canadian fans are expected to attend the sold out game at Ralph Wilson Stadium, located just south of Buffalo in Orchard Park. Factor in the snow that Buffalo will be getting throughout the day, and the traffic could get ugly.

Officials are expecting traffic at the four border crossings in the Buffalo-Niagara region to begin increasing by mid-afternoon as fans begin heading to the stadium for the 8:30 PM game start time.

Travelers are encouraged to check traffic at the border crossings by visiting cbp.gov or by calling 1-800-715-6722.

The Huskies feature a highly touted freshman point guard, ironically named Isiah Thomas, which sets up an interesting match-up between all-Horizon League selection Cedric Jackson who dons a Vikings jersey. While the action on Tuesday, which is set for tip-off at 10 pm local time, will not be televised you can hear the play-by-play on WHKW AM 1220 which is the new home for CSU basketball on the radio this year.
