Their 12 wins also marked the Cavaliers most wins in any January in franchise history and the team finished January by winning their final eight games of the month. The Cavs currently stand at a league-best 39-11 and own a season-high nine-game winning streak. James has now won the award for the 14th time in his career: for the third consecutive month this season, four times in 2008-09; two times during 2007-08, once in 2006-07, twice in 2005-06 and twice during the 2004-05 campaign.

During the month, James ranked first in points per game (30.7), second in assists per game (8.5) and fifth in steals per game (1.6) among Eastern Conference players. He scored 20 or more points in 14 of the 15 games this month, including nine games of 30 or more points.

Delonte West's Trial Postponed Until April 26th

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte "Wild Wild" West had his trial on weapons charges, which was set to start next month, until April 26th. Authorities say West was carrying two loaded handguns, a loaded shotgun and an 8{-inch Bowie knife while riding a three-wheel motorcycle on the Capital Beltway in Maryland in September. Police say he was pulled over after cutting off an officer.

Eastern Conference Player of the Week Awarded to LeBron James (Again)

Maybe they should just name the Eastern Conference Player of the Week after LeBron James. The Cleveland Cavaliers superstar won the award yet again today after another amazing week. This is what James did to earn the award for the fourth time in the 2009-2010 season:

In three games during the week, James averaged an NBA-best 34.0 points on .484 shooting, 7.7 rebounds and a league-high 10.7 assists in 41.3 minutes per game. James wins the award for the fourth time this season and the 24th time in his career. With winning all three games this week, James has led the Cavaliers to an NBA-best 34-11 record and a 17-3 record at home. The Cavs are also 16-5 (.762) against the Western Conference, including a perfect 8-0 against Western opponents at The Q.

James finished with game highs 28 points and 11 assists for his 14th double-double of the season and added nine rebounds, three steals and three blocks in a 108-100 victory over the Raptors on January 19th. He also became the second player this season to lead his team outright in all five of those categories (Dwight Howard).

James tallied a game-high 37 points on 13-25 (.520) shooting, a game-high nine assists, five rebounds, two steals and one block in a 93-87 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on January 23rd. The Cavaliers have also won eight of the last 11 meetings with the Lakers and five of the last six in Cleveland.

On January 23rd at Quicken Loans Arena, he led his team to a 100-99 victory over Oklahoma City, beating the Thunder for the fifth straight contest. He had a near triple-double with a game-high 37 points, a season-high tying 12 assists and nine rebounds in 43 minutes. James has now scored 25 or more points in eight straight games.

Mo Williams and Zydrunas Ilgauskas Hosting "Read to Achieve Event"

In the midst of a truly XL season, Cavs players Mo Williams and Zydrunas Ilgauskas will take a break from the hardwood and team up with their wives, Kesha Williams and Jennifer Ilgauskas, for a special “Reading Timeout” with a message that mirrors a season where the sky is the limit! The players and their wives will read “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss to a group of 30 students from Patrick Henry Middle School and encourage students to set goals to accomplish their dreams. Much like the team, these sixth graders “…can steer yourself in any direction you choose! YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting… so get on your way!”

When the final page is turned, there will be a brief Q&A before the players and wives go head-to-head with the students in multiple games of Scrabble as they utilize vocabulary and spelling skills. Each student will go home with a Scrabble game of their own and a ticket to an upcoming Cavs game during Read to Achieve week beginning March 1st courtesy of Mo and Z!

The classmates from Patrick Henry Middle School were randomly selected from classrooms throughout northeast Ohio with 100% participation in the Cavs Read to Achieve challenge.
