LeBron James Gets a Win for His Birthday & a New Rolls Royce from Shaq

LeBron James celebrated his 25th birthday today by scoring an impressive 48 points for the Cleveland Cavaliers, leading the team to a victory over the Atlanta Haws, 106-101. The icing on the cake for the superstar forward was revealed post-game by his teammate Shaquille O'Neal.
After the game, Shaq said during the post-game show that he bought James a White Rolls Royce Phantom for this birthday. With an MSRP of over $400,000, that's quite the impressive gift.
LeBron James Named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week today. The Akron native averaged 29.5 points on .511 shooting, 7.8 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.8 steals logging 38.0 minutes per game in four contests that included a big win over the LA Lakers on Christmas Day on national television. This was the second time that James won the award this season. King James will be back in action when the Cavs travel to Atlanta to take on the Hawks tomorrow night .
Delonte, Defense, and (Trade) Deadline

There are few things during this up and down, emotionally draining Cavs season that make me as happy as I am when Delonte West is playing well and having fun. In fact, nothing the Cavs have done so far has made me as happy as I was the other night when D-West stole the ball from Phoenix, drove to the basket, took the hit, made the hoop, landed on the floor, then rolled over, looked right into the camera next to his head, smiled and said, “I love this game!” His teammates helped him up, the Suns called timeout, and LeBron, Andy and, well pretty much the entire Cavs bench, gave him high 5’s and hugs. He had the biggest smile on his face and it just reinforced for me how horrible his condition is that it often times keeps him from being able to play this game which he obviously loves so very much.
Almost as uplifting is the impact Delonte has on the Cavs when he’s in the right state of mind. Put aside for a minute how well he is capable of playing (he can be very, VERY good), and look at how the whole team responds to him emotionally. In general, the Cavs play better when Delonte is at his best, so here’s hoping he continues to be well.
Cavaliers Will Go Where LeBron Takes Them

You could describe the Cavs this year as “Jekyll and Hyde” and I wouldn’t argue with you. They went to Milwaukee and absolutely throttled a Bucks team that will likely make the playoffs. Then, they played atrocious in Memphis and Houston, losing both while looking like a completely different team. Friday night back at The Q, they continued their terrible play in the first half against Portland, then something happened. I couldn’t tell you exactly what happened, but it resulted in better defense and a second half that the Trail Blazers couldn’t deal with.
The Cavs most recently went to Oklahoma City to play a dangerous Thunder team and budding superstar Kevin Durant. They got another win that came about with solid offensive play all game and a phenomenal second half defensive effort to close out the game in style. The question is, why can’t they always play like that?
