Former Cavalier Larry Hughes Unhappy With Playing Time for Bulls

Larry Hughes went public yesterday about being unhappy about playing only about 20 minutes with the Chicago Bulls. Hughes, who was traded over to the club by the Cavaliers last season, told reporters yesterday:

"I don't want to play like this," Hughes said. "I'm not comfortable with 15-20 minutes. Something has to change."

AFC North Matchup on NFL Network Tonight

Two of the Cleveland Browns divisional foes in the AFC North are squaring off for a primetime matchup to be aired on NFL Network. Division leader the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-3) host the Cincinnati Bengals (1-8-1). Kickoff is set for 8:15 and the game will also stream live on Sprint Mobile phones and on the internet.

The Steelers are favored in the game by 10 1/2 against the hapless Bengals who managed a tie last week at home against the Philadelphia Eagles. Oddsmakers are forecasting a low scoring affair as the over/under is the lowest of all National Football League games this week with the total set at only 34.5.

Transcript: Texans Head Coach Gary Kubiak talks Browns as Teams Prepare for Battle

(On breaking the current three-game losing streak)- “The thing that’s hurt our football team the most this year has been turnovers and we’ve really struggled from that standpoint. They put it on the ground way too much offensively and we’ve turned it over way too much and then haven’t gotten back on defense. We played a good football team last week, battled them to the end and they came up two plays short. We just need to find one or two more plays. They need to stay focused on themselves and continue to get better as a football team.”

(On Steve Slaton being a third round pick)- “One of our big issues from last year was stability with running backs. He had big issues the first year here and they went to Ahman Green and hoped that would stabilize it. It hasn’t, he has had some problems with his health and those type of things. We drafted this young man, and we got right back in the same boat in camp and made a decision in week two that we were just going to go with the young kid. That was a lot to ask of him, but boy he has played well. He has gotten better each week, he got worn down a little bit and he freshened up some last week. He has got a bright future, he’s a sharp young man and plays hard. He loves football, and nothing really bothers him. I think he has a very bright future.”

Coco Crisp Back in AL Central After BoSox Ship Him to KC Royals

Former Indians outfielder Coco Crisp has been dealt by the Boston Red Sox today to the Kansas City Royals. The Royals, who are normally an also ran in the AL Central, shipped relief pitcher Ramon Ramirez to the BoSox in exchange for the veteran.

Crisp hit a solid .283 for Boston last year and stole 20 bases in 118 games. Ramirez pitched in 71 games for the Royals last year compiling a 2.64 ERA allowing only 57 hits in 71 innings. Crisp is probably glad that he didn't get shopped to the Seattle Mariners where he has had his problems with the Mariner Moose who used him as target practice a couple years back.

Cleveland State Can't Overcome Slow Start and Fall to Washington 78-63

For a moment, it looked like one for the ages as the Cleveland State Vikings made things interesting after plain awful shooting in the first half that dug a 22 point deficit going into intermission in their road game against Washington tonight. While the Vikings were one possession away from making it one point game at the midway point of the second half, the energy that they expended making the run seemed to catch up with Gary Water's squad and they fell to Huskies 78-63.

At the start of the game, the 12 point underdogs struggled to find any kind of offense as Huskies jumped out to a 48-26 lead. The Vikings stunned the Huskies at the start of the half as their ice cold shooting in the first half changed dramatically and everything the team was putting up seemed to go in. Coupled with Water's signature defense the team nearly came all the way back but the Huskies home crowd would go home happy as the team managed to withstand the rally.

Two Classic Battles in "Ten Year War" to Broadcast on Big Ten Network

To help you get in the mood for the Ohio State-Michigan game this weekend, the Big Ten Network is airing two classic battles from the famed "Ten Year War" between Woody Hayes and Bo Schembechler. Coverage of the historic games starts today at 4:30 pm when they show the start of the battles in 1969 when Michigan upset the number 1 rated Buckeyes in Ann Arbor. The '69 contest will re-air at midnight in case you can't catch or set your DVR to record the game (not that any Buckeye fans would want to rel-live that one),

On November 20th (Thursday) the BTN will show the archived footage from the exciting 1974 game that saw the Buckeyes come away with a 12-10 win when Michigan failed on a field goal try as time expired and sealed a trip for an OSU Rose Bowl appearance. Here is a clip from that game:
