Find the Perfect Halloween Costume for Your Kids at Children's Place

It's getting to be crunch time. Halloween is just one week away now, and if you haven't already figured out a costume for your children, it's time to get started. Sure, you could probably pick up one up at your local Kmart, but let's be honest - they look and feel cheap. You could make your own, but time is running out. The best solution can be found at your local Children's Place store, where you'll find a great selection of costumes for children, including babies. They're super high quality and affordable.
Available in sizes 0-6 months all the way up to children's size 8, the Children's Place has costumes for both boys and girls. Choose from monsters, monkeys, giraffes, genies, witches, flowers, and pirates, as well as other Halloween themed outfits.
Costume prices range from $22.50 to $29.50 at regular price, but even better bargains are to be had now. All Halloween costumes and clothes are now marked down with a 50% price reduction. You can't beat that.
Stand Out From the Crowd in Hip New T-Shirts from Howards House of Fine Art
Express your individual style with a t-shirt that you won't see five other people wearing as you walk down the street, or head out for a night on the town. Designed by Howard Steenwyk, a former art director for the Los Angeles Dodgers and an LA native, Howard's House of Fine Art now has available an impressive collection of t-shirts.
Included in the collection, which launched in May 2009, are nine designs:
- Beverly: Our perception of beauty, its symbols and status in America.
- Uncle Sam: This symbol is approachable and ominous at the same time. Its ambiguous statement about America could be worn by a left wing liberal or a redneck truck driver.
- NYC: A symbol of hope or a country in decline?
- Was: Our country was built on revolution, and its part of our nature to consistory recreates ourselves. The first 3 letters of Washington is was.
- T-Bone: This image represents everything un-pc, being a pirate, and being a piece of meat as something desirable.
- Traffic Web: LAs architectural highlight is a parking lot.
- Lincoln: Are we maintaining the qualities that made America great or killing them?
The Sandals that Match Every Outfit: Switchflops
If you're like me, you probably have sandals in a rainbow of colors to match various outfits during the warmer months of the year. Of those you probably have a favorite pair or two that you'd love to wear all the time, but just can't because they don't always match your clothes. To solve this fashion dilemma, I'd like to introduce you to the coolest new sandals available: Switchflops.
Switchflops are comfortable flip-flop style sandals that come with interchangeable straps. The sandals range in price from $35 to $39 depending on the style and come with two different strap sets. Additional straps can be ordered for just $12.
They're great for taking along on a trip too, because bringing extra straps instead of extra footwear takes up far less space in your luggage. The straps are easily interchangeable, and are attached with strong, quality velcro.

Spanx Will Expand into Full Clothing Line
Female celebrities often given credit to their hidden super underwear for making their rear ends look good and their stomach's smooth and flat under their unforgiving couture gowns. And more often than not, it's Spanx they claim to wear. Created by founder Sara Blakely, Spanx has just launched a line of prettier shapewear - Haute Contour - and has revealed plans to expand the brand into a full clothing line.
According to Blakely, her company has been designing prototypes in "about three categories" of apparel for "up to two years". Other than that, however, she didn't reveal much about what the products might be, or even when they'll be out on store racks.

Hold on for Dear Life: Skyscraper Heels Reach Dizzying New Heights
The trend for ridiculously high heels has reached an all-time, with the announcement this week that Christian Louboutin is designing a spike-stiletto with an 8-inch heel. For the past few seasons, Louboutin lovers have been tottering around in the designer's 7-inch heels.
One can't help but wonder how much higher the shoes can get. They're obviously not made for walking any great distance, no further than the car to the red carpet, and even that seems like it'd be a struggle. A friend to hold on to for dear life as you walk is a definite must for these shoes.
What goes up, must come down, and I predict the super high heel craze has reached its peak and will soon go down.
