Fourth Season Could be the Last for Mad Men

In its three seasons on air, AMC's "Mad Men" has attained an almost cult-like status and has amassed a following that few series ever do. But now one of the show's stars, January Jones, is hinting that creator Matthew Weiner might be ending the series earlier than most would like.
Speaking with Stella Magazine about the upcoming fourth season, which begins filming in April, Jones said:
"It may be the last one. I'm a firm believer in quitting while it's hot. Besides it can't go on for ever: I don't want to see Betty in Spandex in the 1980."
Tiger Woods' Wife Gives Him Six Months to Save Marriage

Time is ticking for golfer Tiger Woods. His wife, Elin Nordegren, has given him six months to save their troubled marriage. After picking her husband up from sex rehab in Mississippi last week, a close friend of Elin's revealed that she is "convinced there is hope for the marriage".
The friend added:
"The doctors told her she shouldn't underestimate Tiger's ability to learn new coping skills and grow as a person. And they say he has made remarkable progress."
The friend added:
"It is so hard for Eli. The reality is there is still a lot of love left for Tiger. That's why she is willing to give him another chance. She would hate herself if she just gave up on him. But one thing is for sure, Elin won't be duped twice."
Woods, 34, had more than a dozen affairs with various women during his marriage to Elin. These all came out after his Thanksgiving Day crash and a story that ran in the National Enquirer.
Ben Folds Playing House of Blues April 15th
Ben Folds has announced a concert date the House of Blues on April 15th. Over the last 15 years, Ben Folds’ first-class melodic gifts, irony-laced lyrics, and punk-rock tendency to play piano as if it were a contact sport have earned the North Carolina native a legion of devoted fans of all ages.
Folds has been going pretty much non-stop since the 2001 release of his debut solo album Rockin’ the Suburbs, which has sold more than half a million copies worldwide. In short order, Folds has released a live album (2002’s aptly titled Ben Folds Live) and a pioneering series of three Internet-only digital EP’s: Speed Graphic, Sunny 16, and Super D in 2003-2004; co-wrote and produced William Shatner’s 2004 solo album Has Been; released 2005’s pensive Songs for Silverman (which featured the Adult Top 40 hit “Landed”); contributed three original songs to the soundtrack for the 2006 film Over the Hedge; and produced a forthcoming solo album by Dresden Dolls frontwoman Amanda Palmer.
A Fistful of Oscar Picks

They announced the Oscar nominations last week and overall, there weren’t a lot of surprises to be had. With the exception of the Best Actress, every major category looks like it has a lock. So, if I give my list of who is going to win I should look like a genius, but if things are not as they look, then I may feel foolish by the end of Oscar night. I’ll take my chances:
Best Supporting Actress
Mo’Nique should have this all wrapped up for her performance in Precious. While Maggie Gyllenhaal is excellent as the girlfriend who is weary of her country music singin’ alcohol chuggin boyfriend in Crazy Heart, and the two female stars of the George Clooney film Up in the Air are very good in their roles, no one in this category can compare to Mo’Nique’s incendiary performance in Precious. She owns the screen from the moment she appears on it. “A Ha!” you say; I failed to mention Penelope Cruz for Nine. No I didn’t. I would rather come up with a list of other actresses that should have her spot than think of that movie again.
Best Supporting Actor

Andrew Young Refuses to Hand Over Sex Tape; Held in Contempt

Former John Edwards aide Andrew Young announced Friday that he had turned over a copy of the sex tape involving his ex-boss and his mistress, Rielle Hunter, to the FBI. In court documents, Young said his attorney sent a copy of the tape to federal investigators, but that he still has the original tape in a safe deposit box in Atlanta. On Thursday, he was held in contempt of court for refusing to hand over all copies of the tape.
North Carolina Judge Abraham Penn Jones told Young:
"These items are to be produced and turned over to the court. The court will put them under lock and key - and under seal - until the lawsuit is resolved."
The tape in question reportedly shows Edwards engaged in sexual activities with a then-pregnant Hunter. Young recently revealed on ABC's "Good Morning America" that he had been offered a "gigantic" sum of money to sell the tape, but that he had declined.
Hunter said that she tried to destroy the tape that she and Edwards made in 2006 by yanking the tape out of its cassette.
Young claims in his new book "The Politician" that he found the tape in a home Hunter rented after she moved. He said he was able to restore the tape, and has had it in his possession since then.
Seven Days in May - Must See TV

There's a darn good movie on Turner Classic Movies (TCM) Monday night at 6 p.m. "Seven Days in May" is a favorite of mine because one of the co-authors of the novel, Fletcher Knebel, was a reporter for The Plain Dealer in the 1950's. Rod Serling took his best-selling novel and wrote a thrilling screenplay.
Sandra Bullock Isn't Optimistic About Her Oscar Chances
Sandra Bullock recently received her first-ever Oscar nomination as best actress for The Blind Side. Speaking with reporters at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Friday, where she received the American Riviera Award for her influence on film, Bullock said "I'm so not winning an Oscar."
The 45-year-old actress considers herself an expert oddsmaker for the annual awards show, and has strong feelings about her own chances. She said:
"Nine times out of ten I always pick who's going to win. And I already know who's going to win. I'm not going to say, but nine times out of ten, I'm right."
Bullock has already won a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award this year, and while an Oscar would be a feather in her cap, she's not overly anxious or concerned about it.
She added:
"I have to say, all the ladies in our category, we don't care who wins. Someone's going to win and the rest of us will be really happy for whoever won. We're just happy to be here. And we like the company we're in."
TiMER Tapped to Open Cleveland Film Festival
TiMER, directed by Jac Schaeffer, is a romantic comedy that asks the question: If a clock could count down to the moment you meet your soul mate, would you want to know? TiMER, starring Emma Caulfield, John Patrick Amedori, Michelle Borth, and JoBeth Williams is set to open the 34th Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) on Thursday, March 18th.
TiMER: When implanted in a person's wrist, a TiMER counts down to the day the wearer finds true love. But Oona O'Leary faces the rare dilemma of a blank TiMER. Her soul mate - whoever and wherever he is - has yet to have a TiMER implanted. Staring down the barrel of thirty and tired of waiting for her would-be life partner to get off the dime, Oona breaks her own rules and falls for Mikey, a charming and inappropriately young supermarket clerk with a countdown of four months.
Tickets to the Opening Night Gala, sponsored by Dollar Bank, are $125 per person ($100 for CIFF members). The Gala includes the film at 7:00 p.m. at Tower City Cinemas, followed by a TiMER party at 9:00 p.m. at MK Ferguson Plaza in Tower City Center, with special guest Jac Schaeffer.
Lady Gaga Told to Lose Weight, Stops Eating
Lady Gaga looks pretty petite and slim, and she'd have to be to squeeze into and pull off some of her crazy outfits. But apparently she's not skinny enough. Her "people" have reportedly been on her case about shedding some extra weight since last April.
Gaga's weight apparently became a concern to her handlers when she shot her music video for "Paparazzi" in April 2009. A witness from the shoot revealed:
"Producers had to shoot around her. They draped fabric over her thighs and shot her backside with a softer lens. They did everything they could to hide her not-so-flattering areas."
Lady Gaga, who's usually a nonconformist, has taken the criticism to heart and has pretty much stopped eating:
Jamie Lynn Spears Ditched Baby Daddy for Sugar Daddy

Jamie Lynn Spears has quietly parted ways with the father of her baby, Casey Alridge, and is now dating a Louisiana business man who's ten years older and much richer than Casey. Spears, 18, is now with James Watson, 28, reports Star Magazine.
A source said that the couple began dating in December after meeting a year ago. Watson lives in Hammond, La. which is near the Spears family home in Kentwood. His company, Advanced Multimedia Partners, installs communications equipment and hi-def TVs for corporations.
The source revealed:
"I don't think James cares at all about who she is. They really seem to like each other."
The source added that:
"James enjoys making money, and enjoys spending it, too."
Jamie Lynn, the younger sister of singer Britney Spears and former star of Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101", surprised her fans when she became pregnant at 16 with her then boyfriend Casey Alridge. They got engaged, but eventually called it off and stayed together to raise their daughter, Maddie.
Aldridge is now back in his hometown in Mississippi, and Spears is in Louisiana raising Maddie and, obviously, finding time for romance with Watson.
A so-called friend told Star that Spears and Alridge only stayed together for appearance's sake:
