It’s no secret that Cleveland has become a hub for craft beer. From Great Lakes and Fat Head’s, this new phenomenon is taking the city by storm. Add to that list: Beerhead Bar. Beerhead is more than just a bar with it’s extensive food menu, brunch options and outdoor ambiance.

Since opening it’s doors in 2015, Beerhead has grown to be a real Clevelander favorite. People point to the original Barbarian Pretzel appetizer that serves four (and really can serve four), the giant selection of craft beer and the multiple fire pits that are perfect for those summer and fall evenings.

Located in the middle of the Flats East Bank stretch in downtown Cleveland, competitors for Beerhead include Punch Bowl Social, Coastal Taco, the new Margaritaville and more of the like. Beerhead manages to cut through the noise of these other spots thanks to the range of it’s menu.

Of course they have great pub food options, but they also offer over 10 different pizzas to pick from; anything ranging from BBQ Chicken to “The Farmers Market” (Kale pesto sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, red onion, balsamic glaze). If nothing on the menu suits your style, they also offer a “Build-Your-Own” option so you can craft the perfect pie.

Brunch has been a growing trend in the past few years, and Beerhead has jumped onto the bandwagon. Stop in on Saturday or Sunday and get bottomless mimosas, Bloody Marys’ or even Rosé from 11 am – 1 pm. While the brunch menu is nowhere near as big as the normal menu, it still has some good options like the “BYO Avocado Toast” or the “Hangover Sammie” (All butter croissant with fresh egg breakfast sausage, mozzarella, spinach rosemary redskin potatoes and fresh fruit).

Another factor that feeds into customers’ love for Beerhead is the knowledgeable servers. The staff know the menu like the back of their hand and are able to find you the perfect beer pairing with ease. If you’re anything like me, you may find it difficult (maybe even a little stressful) to find the right beer when you try new places. Whether you’re asking the bartender or are sitting at your table and talking to the waiter, you know you are in great hands and you can trust them on their recommendations.

As if all of that wasn’t enough, the ambiance of the place is great, too. Whether you manage to snag an outdoor seat around a firepit with a view of the water, a table near the stage for one the many live music shows they have or just at the bar⎼⎼you’ll find something that catches your eye.

Whether you’re in the mood for a beer after work or want to start your weekend the right way, Beerhead Bar should be your venue of choice.
