Best Outdoor Patios In Cleveland – Restaurants and Bars In and Around Downtown

Summers in Cleveland are magical.  There are many attractions and activities that Clevelanders partake in that add to the fun that many of us have grown to love. Indians Baseball at the Ballpark, rib burn offs, festivals, Edgewater Park, The Goodtime and Nautica Queen are among the vast array of things that help make summers in Cleveland special.

Another main attraction of summertime here in Northeast Ohio are the number of patios at venues all over town where patrons go to enjoy meals and drinks.  There is something about eating and drinking outside on beautiful summer days that make life more meaningful.  To be sure, you can enjoy yourself in the spring and fall on patios but the summertime patio action is like nothing you will ever experience.

I am sure thousands of married couples in town have met on a patio and that meeting changed their lives forever.  It is in this spirit that Abby and I have written this article.  We want to celebrate the best patios in The Land and all that they have done to spread love and joy.  Now if you had a bad day on one of these patios, we feel for you.  That being said, order a ice cold drink, kick your feet up with us, listen to Will Smith’s “Summertime” and try again.

Thirsty Parrot

One of the most iconic patios in town, The Thirsty Parrot has been a top downtown destination for many years.  Before and after Tribe games,  summer weekends and concerts, Clevelanders continue to flock to this location as it is ground zero for parties downtown.

Fire Food and Drink

Historic Shaker Square is one of the most visited areas in town.  Fire Food and Drink is one of Cleveland’s best restaurants and is a main draw for Shaker Square.  In addition to fine cuisine, patrons can enjoy their meals on their patio, which I can tell from experience is very relaxing.  I can’t think of a better way to start your day than brunch on the patio at Fire on a Saturday while a weekly festival is going on.

Porco’s Lounge and Tiki Room

One of America’s most distinctive venues, Porco’s is one of Cleveland’s crown jewels.  Recognized as one of the country’s best Tiki bars by Food NetworkTravel + Leisure Magazine and Liquor.com,  the patio at Porco’s is almost overkill for this vaunted establishment.  Every week Clevelanders come to have a one-of-a-kind experience that only Porco’s can offer.

Firehouse Grill and Pub

Willoughby is has some of the best bars and clubs in Lake County and every week Clevelanders fly down I90 and I271 to experience what Willoughby has to offer.  Firehouse Grill and Pub is arguably the hottest spot in the area.  Their heated patio in addition to fine food and drink specials has Uber and Lyft drivers extremely busy dropping and picking up party-goers.  Even with new spots opening up in the area, Firehouse is the standard and has been for a long time.
