Mike does not understand why I love salads so much. To him, salad is the opening act to dinner. His idea of a good salad is lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and a half gallon of french salad dressing. Unbeknownst to him, salad is a way of life for me and many other Clevelanders. When constructed properly, a salad can be a viable main entree.
I left Mike at home and tackled this assignment myself. When it comes to salad, you can put almost anything in your salad. My personal favorite is grilled salmon and spinach leaves. My sister loves steak in her salad and my hair stylist Jillian loves baked chicken breast with shrimp. The following venues have perfected salad. You do not have to be a health nut to enjoy these salads. You may become one and it is a good thing to become more health-conscious.

Well known for its delicious juices and smoothies, Fawaky Burst has excellent salad selections. Whenever I go, I have the salmon salad with a Fawaky Tox smoothie. Believe it or not, Mike loves their smoothies too.

Whenever I am in the mood for something different, I make the trip to Sitto’s Pitas and Salads in Parma. Their Lebanese cuisine is a must. When I had our son, I craved Middle Eastern food. Their Falafel, Shawarma, and Shish Tawook Salads were clutch. Mike is such a sweetheart as no matter how tired he was, he made the pilgrimage to Parma from Shaker Heights to grab my salads.
