Best Chicken Wings in Cleveland Ohio

There are three things in life that one must decide on that can have a substantial effect on you and that says a lot about what type of person you are.  These three things are not just choices, they are perspectives and must be approached with the utmost care. Especially in Cleveland! Your decision can have life-altering consequences that will forever haunt you or help make you go legend.  The three things I speak of is the following: Do you prefer boneless wings, whole wings or wing dings? All jokes aside, people in the 216 do not play when it comes our wings and there are plenty of restaurants, bars, clubs and caterers who have made their living and reputation on the strength of their chicken wings.

Mike and I have made numerous posts about who has the best seafood place, Mexican, Italian, etc. but when we asked our friends and family about wings, both of our cellphone screens cracked! Republican, Democrat, TTUN and die-hard Ohio State fans, and any other demographic you can think of had their input (even alleged vegans gave their two cents).  After many nights driving around town scarfing down countless wings and heated arguments with our respective circles, we finally were able to compile The Cleveland Leader’s list of the best places in Cleveland to enjoy wings. Just remember celery sticks do not equate to salad and your diet will be ruined going to these places.

Beachwood/Lyndhurst/South Euclid

Bahama Breeze

One of the most popular restaurants in the area, Bahama Breeze is known for its Caribbean cuisine. One of the worst kept secrets in Beachwood is their Habanero and Jamaican wings.  The Jamaican wings are served whole and the Habanero are served buffalo style.  The portions are large enough to be your entree and every week hundreds of people do just that.  Bahama Breeze has plenty of patrons that take orders home to go because of how tasty they are.

3900 Orange Pl Beachwood, OH 44122

Wing Stop

One of America’s fastest growing buffalo wing chains, Wing Stop has some of the area’s most tasty wings.  You can order meals or just wings. They also have a nice selection of side dishes and desserts to add to your meal.

13963 Cedar Rd South Euclid, OH 44118

Winking Lizard Tavern

One of the most beloved bar and grill chains in Cleveland, The Winking Lizard has been a haven for beer enthusiasts and wing lovers for many years.  In addition to their annual World Tour of Beers, The Winking Lizard has a great selection of wings.  Some top choices are the Magma Sauce, Caribbean, Goldfinger, Bourbon Barrel, Green Siracha and the Cajun.

25800 Central Pkwy Beachwood, OH 44122

Helen’s Gametime

A South Euclid mainstay, Helen’s wings are requested across town.   Many Uber eats drivers make repeat runs to deliver their many flavors of wings as well as other entrees every week.

Warrensville Heights/Maple Heights/Bedford/Solon

Buffalo Wild Wings

The place that put buffalo wings on the map nationally, Buffalo Wild Wings or BW3(for anyone who attended Akron University or Kent State University in the 90s knows all about the location on East Exchange) has been an icon when it comes to buffal wings and many of us had our very first wings at a Buffalo Wild Wings.  With tons of sauces to choose from like the Lemon Pepper, Mango Habanero, Thai Curry and Bourbon Honey Mustard, it is easy to see why wing fanatics pile in every week.

26200 Harvard Aveune Warrensville Heights, OH 44122

One of Cleveland’s favorite bars, Scorcher’s has been known to have some of the most delicious chicken wings in town.  Many summers have been spent by thousands of Clevelanders enjoying ice cold pints and wings while watching volleyball games in the sand pit or catching a Tribe game.  My personal favorites are the Caribbean Jerk,  Bayou Kicker, Desert Sun and the Lemon Pepper Wings.

5039 Westlawn Rd Bedford Heights, OH 44128

Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern

One of the most popular bar and grills in Solon, the Rusty Bucket has amazing wings.  Unlike many places, they serve their wings by the pound so if you are the person who is fine with 6 wings, the Rusty Bucket is not for you.  We recommend the Habanero, Spicy Garlic and the Sweet Chili wings.

6025 Kruse Dr.#148 Solon, OH 44139

WINGS Sports Bar and Grill

It should be assumed if a place with the word “wing” in the title has awesome wings.  If not then the establishment should close their doors forever.  That being said, WINGS has earned their name by serving exquisite wings to their patrons since 1995.  In addition to having daily specials such as Taco Monday and Margarita Night on Thursdays, the wings here are top notch.  My favorites are the Teriyaki, Baja Chipotle and the Garlic.

14516 Broadway Ave Maple Heights, OH 44125

Angelo’s Pizza

In addition to being a Cleveland icon for its award-winning pizza, Angelo’s has some of the best wings in town too.  There are two things that go together in life…pizza AND wings.  It should be no surprise that Angelo’s does wings at a high level.  Some the best wings offered are the Dry Rub, Tuscan Garlic and the Garlic Parmasean.

13715 Madison Avenue Lakewood, OH 44107

Buckeye Beer Engine

One of the best spots in Lakewood for Brunch, The Buckeye Beer Engine has some scrumptious wings.  They have boneless and bone in.  Either way you like them, you will not be dissappointed. Many regulars prefer the Honey Gold, Engine Hot and Bourbon BBQ.

15315 Madison Avenue Lakewood, OH 44107

O’Toole’s Pub and Restaurant

Another Lakewood hot spot, O’Toole’s Pub has some outstanding wings. Their full menu and drink specials has helped keep the place packed on the weekly basis.  Wing lovers in Lakewood go wild for the White BBQ, Captain Morgan Apple Cider BBQ, Curry Cajun Rub and the Mediterranean Hot Sauce.

13601 Detroit Avenue Lakewood, OH 44107

Downtown/Tremont/West 25th

The Clevelander Bar and Grill

For years the Clevelander has been a haven for Cleveland sports fans and revelers from all points of town.  When it comes to chicken wings, The Clevelander is a winner regardless of what our teams do on the field and on the court.  Some top choices are the Lemon Pepper, Apocalypse Now,  Angry Arts and the Sha Bang wings.

834 Huron Road Cleveland, OH 44113

Take 5 Rhythm and Jazz

Take 5 is known for its weekly live entertainment and fine dining.  One of the best kept secrets in town is its Howlin’ Wolf Wings served buffalo or Whole.  Whenever I go I get the whole wings with the Firehouse BBQ Sauce.

West Superior Avenue Cleveland, OH 44113

Dive Bar

One of the flagship bars in Cleveland, Dive Bar has some outstanding wings.  Voted one of the best bars in Cleveland by The Culture Trip, for many years, Dive Bar has been one of the marquee bars to watch the game or start your weekend.

1214 West 6th Street Cleveland, OH 44113

Paradise Saloon

One of the most frequented bars in Euclid, Paradise Saloon has top 10 chicken wings in Cleveland. Previously mentioned as a top bar in Cleveland, their wings is one of the main reasons why.  They have an impressive list of sauces.  Some of the most ordered are the Paradise wings, Orange Sesame Ginger, Herb Ranch and the Bleu Cheese.

830 Babbit Rd Euclid, OH 44123

Firehouse Grill and Pub

A Willoughby landmark since 2004, Firehouse has been serving up fun for residents in Lake County and surrounding areas for a while.  In addition to its diverse menu, weekly programming and drinks specials, the wings have been a crowd favorite.  The Hot Garlice Parmasean, Whiskey BBQ and the Teriyaki are my preferred choices whenever I stop by.

2768 Stark Drive Willoughby, OH 44094

Panini’s Grill

Another legendary Cleveland Restaurant, Panini’s in Willoughby is one of the top 3 bars in the area.  My Uber driver told me that he is always picking people up from Panini’s and they tend to have boxes of their wings with them.  With flavors like Brickhouse Blend, Rub-a-Dub Cajun and Buffalo Parm, I can see why fans are opting to take some back for the ride home.

37333 Euclid Avenue Willoughby, OH 44094

Parma/Old Brooklyn

Cleats Club Seat Grill

Claiming to have The World’s Best Wings is an invitation for intense scrutiny.  That being said, Cleats does in fact have AMAZING wings.  Best in the world may be a stretch but Cleveland, OH they are in the conversation.  That alone is saying alot considering the number of premium wing spots in town.  Be sure to grab the Sizzlin’ Siracha, New “N” Orleans Jazz, Erie Island Smoke and the Jamaican Jerk wings.

3995 Jennings Rd Cleveland, OH 44109

Characters Sports Bar and Grill

Characters Sports Bar and Grill is one of the most popular spots in Parma.  Some of the most reuqested wings they serve are the Wasabi BBQ, Rasberry BBQ, Caribbean Jerk, Hot Buffalo Ranch and the Suicide wings.
