La Pizzeria Review – Little Italy Cleveland Ohio
Great Service. Wonderful location. Amazing pizza. What more could you want from a local pizza shop? La Pizzeria Cleveland truly has it all and still has that small, family feel that will really feel like you’re at home.
Time and time again La Pizzeria has shown that its customer service is what sets it apart from the other pizza places in the Little Italy Murray Hill area. When places are a dime a dozen, you really do need something to set you apart. They have a highly trained staff, that is the perfect mix of knowledgeable and personable. You will be able to get answers to all your menu questions and meet great people simultaneously.
The location is in the heart of Little Italy, one of Cleveland’s most notable (and historic!) neighborhoods. It is also within close proximity of the Case Western University making a great place for college students to get their pizza delivered from. It fits right in with the rest of the area although it is one of the smaller establishments. This actually extends a bit of extra charm to the place, making the quaint little shop feel like a real hidden gem.
Unlike the building, the menu is actually quite large! It’s broken down in sections like: “Original Fresh Baked Pizzas,” “Gourmet Pizzas,” “Fresh Baked Calzones,” “Pastas,” “Fresh Oven Baked Subs,” “Appetizers,” “Soup/Chili,” “Fresh Made Salads,” “Oven Baked Wings” and “Authentic Italian Gelato.” As you can see, they have a wide selection of Italian classics, down to the gelato! Each of these sections have great selections that will make deciding on your meal a little difficult.
Longtime Pizzeria fans love the “Penne Pasta” (with homemade Marinara or white sauce) for $7.99, the “Buffalo Chicken Calzone” for $9.99, the “Salerno Family Homemade Meatball Sub” (Generous portion of homemade meatballs, homemade marinara sauce, topped with mozzarella and provolone cheese) $5.99 for a 7” and $7.99 for a 12” sub and the unexpected “Taco Salad” (Romaine and Iceberg lettuce, chili, tomatoes, green peppers, black olives, taco chips topped with cheddar, mozzarella and provolone and choice of dressing) for an easy $6.99.
The pizza is still the highlight though. People love the gourmet pizzas that include options like “Cheeseburger,” “Taco,” “Buffalo Chicken” and “Meat Galore.” All of these are available in the three sizes offered: Small 6-cut for $10.99, Medium 8-cut for $13.99 and Large 12-cut for $16.99.
Overall, this is a great place to satisfy your inevitable pizza craving. With great options in addition to pizza, you’ll find it hard to go to another Italian place thanks to the tasty options and reasonable prices.
La Pizzeria is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 am to 10 pm, Friday and Saturday from 10:30 am to 12 am and Sunday from 12 pm to 10 pm.
