Mamma Santa’s Review – Italian Restaurant & Pizza

Possibly the best pizza in Cleveland, definitely the best pizza in Little Italy. Mamma Santas is a great, authentic Italian restaurant that’s wonderful for both lunch and dinner. Clevelanders love the award-winning food, family-friendly atmosphere and the generous portions.

Located in the heart of one of Cleveland’s most popular neighborhoods, Little Italy, this spot has some stiff competition. However, Mamma’s manages to come out ahead thanks to their years of excellent service and dedication to their craft.

The menu is full of delicious options and is large enough that if you become a regular, you can still always try something new. The menu is broken down by pizza, appetizers, sandwiches, pasta, specials and sides and sauces. Each of these has plentiful options that will be sure to satisfy you and all of your family’s cravings.

The sandwich menu has the essentials like a Meatball Sandwich for just $3.75, a Veal Cutlet (Breaded cutlet served over Italian bread) for $6.25, Chicken Parmigiana (Breaded chicken and topped with mozzarella and tomato sauce) for $5.75 and more. The pasta section includes great options as well. People love the Manicotti (Stuffed with Ricotta), the Ravioli (Stuffed with cheese, meat, or mixed) and the Lasagna (Stuffed with ricotta and meat) are all $9.95 and are all made with homemade noodles for an even more authentic taste.

If you’re in need of a bigger meal, look to the Specialty Combinations menu. This menu has even bigger portions in all of your favorite classic dishes like Chicken Cacciatore (Prepared with tomato & red wine sauce, onion, green pepper, and mushrooms and your choice of a side) for $12.95, the Fish Fry (Served with your choice of side) for $11.75, the Small T‐Bone for $15.75 or the Large T‐Bone for just two dollars more, both served with your choice of side.

While all of this is amazing, it’s the pizza that brings the masses in. Their prices are very reasonable – only $9 for a large! Like most places, there is a Build-Your-Own option, where you can create your own Italian masterpiece. However, their pizzas are great, too! They have a nice variety including a vegetable pizza, three meat pizza, the classic, pepperoni and the highly popular, “Everything Pizza” (Sausage, Pepperoni, Mushroom, Onion, Green Pepper) which runs $17.75 for a large since it is a specialty pie.

Overall, Mamma Santa’s is the perfect place to connect with family over delicious food. Its homey feel and comfort food will be everything you need to bring the people you love together without breaking the bank.

Mamma Santa’s is open Monday through Thursday from 11 am to 10 pm, Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 11 pm and closed all day Sunday. If you are planning on dining here for dinner, be prepared to wait. The good pizza will make up for it!
