The Nauti Mermaid Cleveland

The fun, casual seafood restaurant you’ve been dreaming of. Nauti Mermaid is the perfect spot to have a laid back evening with the ones you care about. Complete with great food, drinks and staff, it will be added to your list of favorites in no time.

Located in the heart of the historic, Warehouse District, Nauti Mermaid is the only place in the area like it. There are plenty of high-end restaurants that offer seafood, but there is nowhere that has the same ambiance quite like this spot does. The theme, of course is all things nautical. Every inch of the place is covered in bait signs, nautical rope and stringed lights. It feels very authentic and almost makes you forget that you are in downtown Cleveland and not in the cabin of a ship!

Being in the Warehouse District is a big advantage for Nauti Mermaid. It’s close to many office buildings, making it the perfect Happy Hour spot as well as only being a 10 minute walk from the nightlife on East 4th Street.

People rave about the food, specifically the “Lobster Roll” (traditional Maine-style lobster salad, lettuce and tomato on a rustic roll) for $14, the “Alaskan King Crab” (steamed crab served with drawn butter and choice of two sides) for $46 and the “Shrimp and Chips” (beer battered Gulf shrimp with fries and choice of two sides) for $16.

If seafood isn’t your favorite, no need to worry! Nauti Mermaid offers great non-seafood selections like the “Jerk Chicken” (marinated and grilled chicken with pineapple and remoulade sauce) for $11, the “Pirate’s Delight” (a ground bacon and ground beef mixed patty, side of bacon jam, cheese and choice of two toppings) for $12, or the traditional “Nauti Burger” (half pound of fresh beef patty, cheese and choice of three toppings) for $11.

The drink menu is really fun, it features multiple signature drinks and they are all aptly named for a seafood spot. Highlights include the “Mermaid Martini” (Cruzan orange, pineapple juice, orange juice and cranberry), the “Mai Tai” (Sugar Island coconut rum, light rum, TripleSec, pineapple juice, Kraken rum floater) and the “Walk the Plank” (Captain Morgan, Sugar Island coconut rum, Blue Curacao and pineapple juice).

Many talk about how the courteous staff is what made this place what it is. While the food is great, you might be able to find something similar, the staff is irreplaceable. All of the staff members are knowledgeable and friendly, making you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time.

It may not be the cheapest place in the city, but it does offer a great selection, has a super friendly staff and the atmosphere will really set it apart from your usual go-tos. Bring friends and enjoy a great spot at a great location in the city.

Stop in at the Warehouse District location at 1378 W 6th St, Cleveland, OH 44113. You can contact the restaurant by phone at: (216) 771-6175 or visit the website here.
