R’s Kitchen Review

The definition of a perfect bar and grill. R’s Kitchen has great food, great beer and a great place to gather with great people and one of the top Cleveland restaurants.

With so many of the same type of bar and grill concepts, it can be really difficult to choose one. Next time choose R’s Kitchen. It features some of the best, genuine food in the city and will be a place that you won’t soon forget. With the assets of a large franchise, but the homeyness of a single location, you really get the best of both worlds. After eating at R’s, you will be hooked. If you find yourself planning a large event and struggling where to get food from, look no further. R’s has a full catering menu that will save you time, stress and most importantly, money. The catering menu has a lot of the full restaurant menu on it, making it an even better choice so you don’t find yourself choosing between five dishes like other places tend to be.

Apps, soups, burgers, and salads only scratch the surface of this huge menu. They also offer great chili, entrees like the “Chicken Picatta” (Chicken breast lightly floured and sauteed till golden topped with a delicate lemon sauce with capers and artichoke served with mashed potato and daily vegetable), the “Fish-n-Chips” (Mile white fish (cod) dipped in corn dog batter and fried to perfection. Comes with fries and house made slaw) and for the vegetarians out there, the “Moroccan Pot Pie” (Savory stew made with lentils and chickpeas, topped with puff pastry and served with salad and bread).

For the kids they have a simple, but effective menu: “Kid’s Burger,” “Chicken Tenders” and “Mac-n-Cheese.” Definitely not the largest menu, but these three entrees are sure to please.

If you’re a chili fan, you will enjoy R’s Kitchen more than anyone. Their chili is pretty well-known and there is a good reason. Get your fill by keeping it mild with “R’s Chili” or spice it up with their regular “Chili.” Another great way to enjoy it is by order the “Chili Cheese Fries.”

One of the most important part of the menu: Desserts. R’s Kitchen has great fruit cobbler. You can eat it solo, or add a scoop of ice cream to take your dessert to the next level.

As if the amazing food wasn’t enough for you to get in your car and drive to Cleveland Heights, maybe the atmosphere will. In the warm months it is a dream to sit outside at the outdoor bar and chat with the bartenders and enjoy a nice cocktail with friends. With winter on the way, you probably will want to opt for indoors and check out the modern interior that features pieces of windows and windowsills on the wall and minimalistic lightbulbs hanging above your table. It definitely is a quaint and comfortable spot.

Stop in at the Cleveland Heights location at 13441 Cedar Rd., Cleveland, OH 44118. Call the restaurant (216) 303-6278 or visit the website here.
