Smart Start-Up Ideas to Pursue in 2019

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people become entrepreneurs. 550,000 people, in fact. Many people choose to ditch the traditional 9-to-5 working setup and choose a career that better suits their goals and interests. Instead of being somebody else’s boss, they want to be their own boss and reap the benefits of being the one who’s in charge.

With 2019 now here the time to get involved in the business world is now. But what are the most profitable startup ideas for 2019? What businesses are the general public just looking to throw money at in the bucketload?

Social Media Management

In 2019, it is estimated that there will be 2.77 billion social media users. Spread out across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, appealing to all of these users is a continued headache for businesses who want to get the word out about what they do.

Not only do businesses not know which social media platforms to use or what kind of content they should be using, but many busy companies don’t have the time to take care of this either. That’s why they need a social media management expert and, if you have a solid knowledge of these platforms and what content does well, then you could find success by turning those skills into a startup.

Landscaping

As the need for subscription boxes and social media managers shows, in 2019, people are incredibly busy. So busy that many of them will not have much time on their hands to dig the weeds out of their garden, water the plans, or rake the leaves when they fall in autumn. Because of this, you could make a huge amount of money by taking care of the landscaping tasks for them.

Gardening and plumbing knowledge is a must for this job but you’ll need more than muscles and the right tools. You’ll also want to legally protect yourself with landscaping insurance that will cover you in case you damage the property at a client’s home. That kind of insurance will often cover you for general liability too which is helpful if you want to expand your business to general contracting tasks. It allows you to grow and become a fixer of light fittings, a decorator or something else!

Subscription Box Business

As of 2016, the subscription e-commerce market was worth $2.6 billion. There are subscription boxes for all kinds of products including beauty products (such as face masks and mascara), snacks, dog toys, educational activities and much more. People love the idea of getting a curated and personalized box of goodies delivered to their door every month.

For many boxes, convenience is also a major benefit as you won’t have to go looking or shopping for products when you know they’re going to be delivered to you. To find success, you can’t just jump in – you’ll need to have a deep understanding of a particular niche and what subscribers may want in order to sell the idea to them. But, once you’ve got a solid idea of what to include, you could find success as a subscription box startup.

These are just a handful of startup ideas that have the potential to succeed in 2019. It will also take due diligence and research but this should get you started on the right path.
