Vincenza’s Pizza & Pasta

Dating all the way back to 1950s New York, Vincenza’s started in Brooklyn by Italians from Abruzza, and they have been making great pizza and pasta for generations. The third generation of the family brought the business to downtown Cleveland in the 1979 and have been set up here ever since!

Part of the reason locals love this spot so much is because of the great food that is made by fresh ingredients and the family-friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is located in the Gateway District, near the popular East 4th Street and near multiple hotels and businesses making it a great place to get lunch with colleagues or an early dinner when you’re in town visiting.

The menu has great pizza selections — they have thin crust, Chicago deep dish and Sicilian. You can order all the full pizzas in small (4-cut) for, medium (6-cut), large (8-cut), or jumbo (10-cut). Prices vary depending on the style of pizza (deep dish and Sicilian run higher than the standard). Full pizzas range from $6 to $24.50 depending on size, style and toppings. If you don’t need a full pizza, you can stop in for just a slice (or two). Single slices run from $2.25 to $3.25 plus any additional toppings which cost 40 cents each.

In addition to great pizza, they also have amazing pasta. They offer all the traditional favorites like Spaghetti, Rigatoni, Penne, and Ziti which only cost $5.25 to $5.50. Popular choices include the Lasagna (beef and cheese filled) which is $6.25 and the Chicken Parmesan (with Rigatoni or Spaghetti, or side salad with meat or marinara sauce) for $8. All pastas are also served with a roll and butter. They also offer daily pasta specials that aren’t featured on the normal menu and they range from $6 to $8. While the pizza is the most popular choice at Vicenza’s, the pasta is a very close second! If you are feeling something a little different, you can opt for some of their famous subs or salads that are just as affordable.

Many people love Vincenza’s because it offers the best authentic NY style pizza in Cleveland. Most people stop in for lunch but that’s mostly to do with limited hours the operation has. They are open Monday through Friday 11 am – 6:30 pm. Many regulars have said that they would be sure to come in for dinner if the hours were extended even only during the week, but they would love if the place was open on the weekend too!

Vincenza’s is a great place for an inexpensive, large lunch with friends or a nice place to venture to if you find yourself staying in Cleveland! Make sure you get there in time for their early hours and here is to hoping that they will extend them in the future!

Stop in at the downtown location at 603 Prospect Ave E, Cleveland, OH 44115. Call the restaurant at (216) 241-8382 or visit the website here.
