If you are into the dating scene, you probably have visited all of the local bars and taverns.

While we just talked about the best brunch in Cleveland, it’s very improbable that you will meet someone single at a place like that, so where do you meet single people in Cleveland?

Dating Tips for People in Cleveland

First off, know that most adults date online.  After reading AdultDating.net, it’s even more in my face than I originally thought.  When you sign online, you can swipe (that’s the new thing, simply saying “yes” or “no” by swiping a photo of single people to the right or left) until you match with someone who swipes back. It’s the new game these days, and if you are lucky enough you may just find your match.

While I won’t get into the number of sites that are doing this, (you can read the link above) there are plenty.  Not only are there websites, but also a huge number of what they call “hook up apps.”

Think about how everyone in the corporate world has limited time and you’ll agree that it’s very hard to just make time to get to a place where you would meet someone, let alone strike up a conversation that would lead to going out on a date or doing something to try to get to know one another better.

While my best advice to meeting people is to do so in an environment where you know you have mutual interests (think of the gym, church, yoga class, or maybe even Starbucks), you could always get lucky and meet a nice man or woman at the Marble Room.

I did some research prior to sharing my opinion, and if you aren’t the type to try online dating, you can take these suggestions from CBS.

Tabletop Board Game Café

If you are into gaming or just want to bring back childhood memories, check this place out.  You’ll see over 1,000 different games you can play.  Basically, the whole goal here is to get strangers to interact and become social.  This concept is quickly catching on, and you’ll see people wearing name tags at their monthly mixer where you can just have fun playing games with people you don’t know.  To loosen things up, they offer beer, wine, and a full bar.

Loganberry Books
13015 Larchmere Blvd.
Shaker Heights, OH 44120
216-795-9800

Books on books on books!  You’ll find that not only can you get into books, but also you’ll encounter book signings and even the odd movie night.  If you love to read or write, this could be right up your alley.
